If you don’t have a weak immune system or any major health Probs.
    This virus is a dud
About 1/1000 chance of dying from a Stanford Scientist

    It’s really overblown

This is plain stupid. What % of the American population is obese, one of the major risk factors of dying from cv 19? Hypertension? Heart disease? The list goes on. I'd wager close to 40% fall into some high risk group.

You have a 1/1000 chance of dying from the flu more or less. You have a 1/100 chance of dying from corona virus. Now let’s think about how much is 1% of the population. To put things in perspective 2% of the us population died in the American civil war.

I've begun to think it's kind of strange that I don't know even one person with corona virus. I'm in the Midwest. I called my friend, who lives in Arkansas; she said it hasn't really hit there, no she doesn't know anyone who has it. Spoke with my brother in Delaware; nope doesn't know anyone, but they are practicing all the guidelines. Then called a friend in San Francisco; you guessed it, doesn't know anyone who's had it past or present. My son in Minneapolis heard of one person, but it was someone he read about on internet that supposedly has it. Does ANYONE actually know (not secondhand heard OF someone or knows someone who knows someone...) anyone who has this disease, let alone has died from it? Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe people in New York do.

There is a virus to be sure, but this will not be remembered as a viral pandemic. It will be remembered as a panic pandemic.

That will depend on whether the person in question was living in the real world or the fake news information silos. Hundreds of thousands of people have died around the world thanks to this virus, but if you rely on fake news, it's another conspiracy by Democrats (and the Chinese, or some such) to hurt poor widdle Donald. Just like everything else that happens.

Does absolutely everything relate back to Trump? Have you posted anything that is not derision of Trump?

Link the "Stanford Scientist" and then ask him what the chances of an otherwise healthy person dying from the Flu.

Everything is about Trump. He makes sure of that. He was calling this virus "their new hoax" as he failed to take any action to prepare for its eventual arrival here and assuring us over and over again that it wouldn't affect us, or that it would "magically disappear."

This virus has killed more than 40,000 Americans in three weeks and that is with significant pandemic controls in place.

Yes, there are literally hundreds of thousands of people in New York who know someone with the virus - themselves.

It kills people who aren't immunocompromised. Yes, being immunocompromised makes you much more susceptible. Yes, it is a killer, far more so than the seasonal flu. Let's talk facts, not political propaganda like what's being spread in the OP.

Forty thousand dead is an average year. The common flue kills 30-60 thousand a year, some years even more. This virus has not risen to the level of epidemic in the US. Epidemic has been defined down to what is already common.

I hope this Orwellian prediction doesn't come true and that people pay attention to the facts instead. But you may be right.

Compared to what? It's not more dangerous than the common flu.

40,000 have died in THREE WEEKS -

That is not an "average year."

The numbers are inflated and fudged
They are counting other deaths as Cov19
    The data is lies

The flu kills that many in 9+ months. As the previous poster mentioned, covid19 has killed 40k+ in three weeks. At the current rate, we'd have 400k+ dead in the amount of time the flu kills 60k max.

That is well within our 30-60 thousand a year average. It doesn't even rise to the level of a bad flu season.

The virus is as lethal as the flu for non IC
How ever , the recovery rate is much longer
