Monsters. All I can say is that because this happened in red state FL., it's almost guaranteed that the victims' families will receive some justice for their senseless murders said to be committed by alleged gang members ranging in age from 12-17. Yes, you read that right. Age 12, 16, and 17 stole their guns and targeted three teens from Marion County. They had them all together in one of the victim's car and one by one, they executed them, and dumped their bodies in different parts of the surrounding community. They've all been charged with first degree murder.

If this had happened in say a blue state such as Maryland, at least one progressive legislator would not want anyone less than age 25 to be charged with murder in the first degree.

It's way past the time that we start holding minors responsible for their actions. I applaud FL LE for doing their jobs and not going light on the killers.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – 16-year-old Tahj Brewton, who was at large for about a week following his and two other juveniles’ alleged involvement in the slaying of three teenagers found in the Ocklawaha area, has been arrested, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
In a Facebook post updated Sunday, the sheriff’s office described how Brewton — with a $10,000 reward offered at the time for his arrest — was captured on Saturday near Groveland with help from U.S. Marshals and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest was performed on outstanding warrants for carjacking with a firearm, aggravated assault, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and tampering with an electronic monitoring device, the sheriff’s office said. Additional charges were forthcoming pending the homicide investigation, the post states.
At a news conference Friday, during which Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods announced the arrests of 17-year-old Robert Robinson and 12-year-old Christopher Atkins in connection to the killings, he vowed he would get Brewton, too.

“I’m talking to the viewers. You- some of you know him (Brewton), you know where he is and you need to turn him in. Now, I will get him, I will find him and justice will be completed,” Woods said.
According to Woods, the incident involved gang-affiliated juveniles turning on their own.
“Although we had out there that it was gang-related, we have nothing specific to say that it was any rivalry,” Woods said. “...However, each and every one of them in some shape or form is associated with a gang. Basically, simple terms, there is no honor among thieves, and at some point these three individuals turned on our three victims and murdered them.”

Robinson and Atkins allegedly used stolen firearms in the shooting, with the two confessing to shooting a girl in the trunk of a car found partially submerged in a pond, Woods said. That victim was found April 1 in a Chevrolet Cruze that belonged to 16-year-old Layla Silvernail, who died after being found injured on the side of a road on March 30 some hours before a male juvenile was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound the next day.
Investigators said the Chevrolet carried six individuals at the time of the shooting: Robinson, Atkins, Brewton and the three victims.
Robinson was arrested by Ocala police the morning after the murder following an “affray” at school, already in custody at a juvenile holding facility, and Atkins was arrested Thursday at his house via a search warrant, according to the sheriff’s office.
Robinson and Atkins face charges of first-degree murder."

Meet the sheriff who is following the law, applying the law, and not apologizing for holding the three alleged killers responsible for their actions, to the exact letter of the law. He takes on the media, who he perceives are for gun banning, during a press conference. Btw, the media is barely covering this story. If it was three white punks who were wearing MAGA red hats that killed three black kids, we'd be hearing about the hate until the next election.

“There are individuals out there viewing, and includes some of you media, that want to blame the one thing that has no ability or the capacity to commit the crime itself, and that’s the gun. These individuals committed the crime,” Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said.

“All the gun laws we got in place didn’t prevent it, did it? Neither will any new ones. Because here’s the fact: The bad guy is going to get a gun no matter what law you put in place. These juveniles shouldn't even possess a handgun but they did,” Woods added.

In my opinion, these three thugs forfeited their lives when they intentionally took the lives of others. I can only imagine, no I can’t, how they were raised and the quality of their parents.

I doubt these thugs can be saved and I’d prefer that we don’t waste tax money trying. Give them a trial, give them very, very quick appeals, then off they go to meet their maker, and that includes the 12 year old.

This case would be national media attention if the three perpetrators were white kids and they killed three black kids.

As it is now outside of Florida.... It will get brief mention, but not much air time. The story will go away quicker than last week's leftovers.

We used to lock up the really bad kids in juvenile facilities for breaking the law, but now they get off with a hand-slap and then we wonder why their anti-social behavior escalates, and society suffers. What an ass backward, stupid approach to holding kids accountable. Letting them off....

A change is underway in out our nation's approach to dealing with young people who get in trouble with the law. Although the United States still leads the industrialized world in the rate at which it locks up young people, youth incarceration and confinement rates in the U.S. are rapidly declining.

 

Some of these thugs know it too and use all of this to their full advantage. They know the law is easy on them because you know, they're told early in life by opportunistic leftist politicians that nothing is really their own fault.

The sheriff alluded to the idea that the suspects were all together to commit a crime.

“Do I have to spell it out for you? What do you think they were doing?” Woods said. “They’re gangs because they commit crimes.”

At some point, the juvenile suspects turned on the three victims in what the sheriff described as a robbery.

“These three individuals turned on our victims and murdered them. They fled the scenes and left a lot of evidence in their wake,” Woods said.

The sheriff did not go into detail about an exact motive or how the bodies were moved to separate locations.
