Wanna bet? For starters, there is no neon sign on top of people's heads that says, "Here I am, I am the bad guy here." If someone is packing, and a police officer can tell, that is not reason or suspicious enough to ask for a license, or to even frisk them, based on recent Supreme Court rulings. That is called racial profiling if you predominantly do it towards a certain group and is illegal. It can get the police officer fired and worse, the city and police department will have to fork over substantial amounts of money to the wrongly accused. Finally, it will make it harder for the police department to do their job in the future if that happens. Second, probable cause is specific to the state. But in general, a gut feeling by a police officer is not a reasonable cause. A reasonable cause would be a traffic stop in which the officer will then routinely ask if the person is armed. The person can say no. And then the officer can ask to search the vehicle. If the person says no, then the 4th applies because traffic violations are just that, violations. They run the DL and insurance to see if any warrants come up and if there are none, then they must let them go. If they have concealed carry, that won't show up in the database search by the patrol officer when he runs your DL. Third, in a lot of states that allow conceal carry, police officers are not allowed to ask for that license outright or out of the blue. they cannot randomly ask people if they have concealed carry. It is up to the holder to identify. The holder will only get in trouble if they are carrying, have the license, and refuse to show when the police officer asks. The specific rules are in Florida statute 790.052.

Keep telling yourself that. Books have been removed and banned from school libraries, public libraries, and even sales to the public. You may want to take a look at this site.

At one time, the Count of Monte Cristo, The Grapes of Wrath, the Canterbury Tales, the Decameron, Lady Chatterley's Lover, and a few others were banned in sale to the public. Texas is attempting to ban outright certain books with LGBTQ right now.

Just the Texas proposal to ban books with gay images. The way the bill reads, it will not only affect public schools or private schools, but private sales as well. But that is a proposal right now. And given Texas is GOP country, it is a very likely possibility.

"You don't see conservatives or libertarians claiming that the constitution is a "living document" that can constantly change what it means. That's all from the left."

The constitution changes with time, that was the whole point of the amendments. You need read what the user wrote.

    1) every democrat who ran for the presidential nomination-every one of them wanted to ban semi auto rifles. that makes them gun banners.

    2) all but a handful of democrats in the house voted to ban those things-that makes them all GUN BANNERS

    3) most democrats are gun banners.

    4) Those who detest the second amendment and the SC's defense of gun rights shall not be infringed are
    gun banners.

someone posted the comment-maybe on this board, maybe some place else-that those who want to disarm honest people are generally those who engage in activities that may well cause normally peaceful and law abiding people to want to shoot them. and if you think about it-there is much merit to this. Violent criminals would be dictators and Control Freak Karens on steroids are all gun banners

    Your understanding is lacking.

Banning certain types of guns doesn't equal this "leave muh gun lone" rhetoric you're trying to spew.

Banning things doesn’t work, it’s just an emotional response.
