    Do we have an end game? If you do not have an achievable mission, you are wasting lives and treasure. After 17 years, if Afghanistan is not capable of governing and policing their own country, it is not going to happen. It is time to pull out, nothing more can be accomplished by staying.

    What are they? The US is now a net exporter of oil. Seriously, I could understand going to war in the ME to secure the oil supply, but that doesn't seem to obtain now. And what global economic interest does Afghanistan supply?

    Why did Obama so respect the man he alleges his Navy washed him in Islam tradition and rounded up a white cloth to wrap him in and supposedly give him a proper Muslim burial at sea?

    Obama alleged he gave him honorable burial rites.

    We have trading partners and allies who depend on ME oil and there's no guarantee the shale boom will continue.
    Afghanistan was used a base for terrorists who attacked us. We have an interest in making sure that doesn't happen again.

    You would think after the job done by 3 presidents, things in Afghanistan today would be much different. But you want the US to keep troops there for how many more years? Would you put your own son there?

    Obama had the guy killed. Would he have been deader? :)
    Would it have sparked fear in the hearts of the bad guys. I don't think so.
    Would it have radicalized some more Muslims? Probably. Many people get a little pissed when you insult their religion.

    I have no issues with leaving Afghanistan BUT it has to be an orderly withdrawal and it should be the chiefs of staff not the President

    With the above factors in mind, the only approach that can be utilized to truly stabilize the nation of Afghanistan would be a nuclear strike to render the entire region completely uninhabited.
