Because Ukraine can win and we should support their fight for freedom and independence.

Not to mention the US never gave Ukraine $100 billion. We gave them a bunch of old stuff sitting warehouses which was paid for decades ago. We were going to have to pay cash to destroy it all but instead we gave it away so we actually saved money.

Where's your proof that Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine the country?

I read that the US is so ahead of the game technologically that they're not giving Ukraine any of their existing Abrams, they're manufacturing new, downgraded ones so that if any are lost they won't betray America's secrets. This is VERY bad news for Russia!

According to Ariadna Rodrigo, an EU sustainable finance campaigner at Greenpeace, the main resistance came from Hungary and Bulgaria. “The country that is the most forceful against [a ban on nuclear import from Russia] is Hungary,” she told Investigate Europe. “Hungary is building two nuclear reactors with Russian loans.”

Zelenskiy says Ukraine will defend Bakhmut within reason from Russia (msn.com)

It shows me that since this war has been going on for a year, Zelenskyy isn't showing any sign of giving up. It also looks like this war isn't ending anytime soon. How either one can hold out remains to be seen.

Yeah, so they MUST be ready to capitulate, throw Putin out, and beg the US to install another Yeltsin puppet, so they can watch their GDP cut in half the first year, and corruption instantly destroy their nation again?

Counting on them having worse memory than Americans?

Ever heard of mutually assured destruction (MAD)? It's only kept us alive for 70 years.

Apparently everyone needs reminded: it's mutually assured destruction with a nuclear armed power IF YOU DESTROY THEM BY ANY MEANS. So if you destroy them with your conventional forces, you will be mutually destroyed. If you destroy them through starvation, you will be mutually destroyed.

So now you have put yourself up against a large, modern foe, that you can't destroy in your strategy to win. Sounds tough Jack.

They have 6300 nukes, thousands of modern aircraft, vast natural resources and manpower.

The fact remains: we can't destroy them without guaranteeing, or at least being fairly certain of, our own destruction. If you are assuring Russia's destruction, it will be mutual. People have known this for 70 years.

This fact alone makes winning in Ukraine militarily impossible, and thus morally wrong to participate in.

We disagree. Russia can be defeated in Ukraine, and will be. Indeed, at the strategic level, Russia has already lost.

Imagine if the US got 80k caskets sent home in 1 year. The Tucker Carlsons would be calling for nukes. Well the Tuckers of Russia are calling for nukes nightly. A few more tens of k caskets and critical pieces of infrastructure, and more than the Tuckers will clamor for nukes.

The risk to the world is too high for what 2 years ago, EVERYONE agreed was one of the most corrupt countries on the planet.

And so will those Africans who were counting on that grain. Did the Biden administration come up with a plan to replace that lost grain and fertilizer off the world market, or is it just assumed that all nations must suffer so we can continue Ukraines cause? Talk about hubris!

Would. At least half the country's power has been out for months. The main point of grain exit has been completely destroyed. There is no way Ukraine is feeding the world at a level even close to what it was in 2021. In fact I heard their transport capacity is so hampered that they have cut out wheat almost entirely to get more for their buck with corn exports.

Kyiv opens Grain from Ukraine scheme to get food to Africa's poorest countries. Up to 60 Ukrainian grain ships can be sent by the middle of next year to some of the world's poorest countries in Africa, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the Ukrainian president, said in a statement released to the Guardian.Nov 26, 2022

That's next year! Egypt needed the 85% of its annual grain imports from Russia and Ukraine this year. I have a feeling they didn't get close.

The article is from 2022. "Next year" is this year.
And btw, Russia bears full responsibility for any grain shortfall anywhere.

I'm saying it's not likely Egypt got its grain in 2022. And it definitely not happening in 2023. You can say Putin did that. Nope. Putin invades, Egypt still gets its grain. It's when Putin invades AND Biden resists how he did, THEN no grain. And Egypt is just the first country I thought of to be impacted. I could go on and on.
