So why is the EU still buying uranium from Russia? You used two replies to correct me but haven’t provided a reason why the EU is still buying uranium from Russia? Why is the US buying uranium from Russia or will you tell me you don’t believe that either?

 

The more uranium we can remove from Russia the better.

Why would Russia be supplying it's enemies with Uranium is what people should be asking. Seems like they are desperate for money.

So few people are able to step back a nanometer from partisan myopy and assess objectively the chessboard .. factor in the bigger picture .. assign proper value to the pieces .. assess the mating threats = the really dumb moves .. and over all geopolitical factors.

The war itself is agreed by most serious analysts to be unwinnable for Ukraine in terms of getting Crimea back and other land along Black Sea.
Russia on the other hand seems content what it has secured thus far .. and so is a stalemate. Just a matter of how much more money and dead bodies it is going to take to get the US to negotiate. Everyone else is ready for the most part. .. The EU in particular wants the pain to end .. these folks taking the bulk of the pain from the sanctions .. getting asses kicked would be putting it mildly . I think many of the people of Ukraine .. sending their teenage sons to die in the meat grinder .. some kind of human sacrifice to the Gods on high -- would gladly give up Crimea to Russia .. to have the war end .. the life of their child spared the gruesome horror.

in the meantime .. and in between time .. I have increased my military metals weighting in stock portfolio .. betting on Tungsten outside of China Russia .. which together control over 90% of the entire world supply .. in a ridiculously inelastic market.. One company .. Almonty is opening up the old mine in Korea .. after near 10 years of trying to get financing .. they will have some 6% of global supply when mine comes into producton this year .. but its like 60% of production outside of Russia China.

If you go back to WW1-2 .. Tungsten is the problem metal .. its needed for bullets artillery sheilding for Tanks and other vehicles.. but this product is really difficult to increase supply .. difficult to mine and process .. and not a big market to begin with.

The Ukrainians are volunteers; the Russians are conscripts. The Ukrainians want to fight; the Russians don't. Russian ranks are filled out with convicts who seek the earliest opportunity to desert; wounded Ukrainians seek the earliest opportunity to return to the front.

I haven't heard any whispers of it yet but I'm hoping. Sweden is back in the running (thanks to Turkey's new willingness to discuss NATO membership) something that pisses me off to no end.

That's what I'm thinking but I am not getting a positive response from my own countrymen over that matter. I try to tell them that NATO membership will result in sending our boys to die in one of America's illegal wars. Their response so far has been, "no". What the hell do they think war is anyway?
