Trump received over $7 million from foreign countries as prez

And this doesn't include the many millions his company milked American taxpayers for his entourage an SS staying at his hotels When he went golfing, which, i've heard, is more than any other president.

Former President Donald Trump received at least $7.8 million in payments from foreign governments during two of his four years in the White House, according to a report released Thursday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

Twenty foreign governments made the payments to Trump's businesses during the two-year period that the committee was able to review. The information in the report was first reported by The New York Times and CNN.

 

And that's what information the Committee was able to get after Trump finally exhausted all blocking tactics and then Comer Pyle came in and killed the investigation (there could be another 30+ million that's not even know about now). 6 of that 8 KNOWN million came directly from the Chinese. The irony and Trumpian Party projection onto Biden is so deep you needs a extra long bamboo shoot to still be able to breath...... (really shaking my head at this "no longer" R Party).

 

CBS reports, "'The records, the report said, "demonstrate that four Trump-owned properties together collected, at the least, millions of dollars in payments from foreign governments and officials." The Democrats alleged these payments violated what's known as the Constitution's Foreign Emoluments Clause, which prohibits federal officials from accepting gifts or other benefits from foreign countries without congressional approval."

CBS continued, "The majority of foreign payments came from the Chinese government and two state-owned entities. The payments totaled nearly $5.6 million at properties including Trump Tower, and the Trump International Hotels in Washington and Las Vegas, the report found. The bulk of the payments came from the state-owned Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph reads:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

On July 19, 2023, Trump told Fox News,“Think of President Xi: central casting, a brilliant guy. You know, when I say he’s brilliant, everyone says, ‘Oh that’s terrible.' Well, he runs 1.4 billion people with an iron fist. Smart, brilliant, everything perfect. There’s nobody in Hollywood like this guy.”

Know what's not shown? How much he made "from foreign governments" before he became Prez? Nor does it apparently tell you why exactly that money was made. Was it for services rendered at those locations? Occam's Razor says "yes".

And seriously? 7.8 million? That's all? Pretty sure Trump had lost more than that during his Presidency.

And this , like his other behaviors , will be just fine with his supporters. But perish the thought if a Dem tried this. Trump is right....he COULD shoot ( KILL) someone on fifth avenue and not lose a supporter or their vote. That is fanaticism to the nth degree.

Note a goodly chunk of that seven million was a lease long Term lease by the Saudi government of a luxury suite in Trump tower that began in 2008.

 

Yes, I have no problem with foreign governments renting rooms for their emissaries in hotels owned by a President. The emoluments clause has nothing to do with such.

Can you tell us what products or services the Biden family provided to get 22 million from foreign nationals?

 

With 22 million coming from foreign nationals and run through 20 shell corps and distributed to Biden family members without a single service or product provided does warrant a bribery investigation.
