He didn't have to get involved when he could just sit back and enjoy watching the US self destruct.

His comments very much back Putin. He is a massive gift / assert for Putin

I rode in Blackhawks that hugged Baghdad rooftops. I specifically remember thinking, "Thank God they don't have Stingers (at least very few)". Russian pilots over Ukraine don't have that luxury because Biden has flooded Ukraine with antiair assets.

Again, if Putin had armed Iraqis like Biden has armed Ukranians, we would probably be dead by now. The US would not have simply accepted defeat by Russian actions, and unlike Russia today, we would have escalated.

My question, for 2 years now, has remained unanswered: when a country illegitimately invades another, what duty do the rest of the countries of the world have to oppose it with force? Before anyone answers, be aware that the US invasion of Iraq was illegitimate. So your answer must include which countries had a duty to oppose us with force, and to what extent.

Putin did get involved in the middle east though

if Trump tried to make Canada part of the USA via force, may be some world pushback

Exactly! A much wiser approach. Let your adversary overextend. A lesson the Biden administration missed.

I'd rather Ukrainians view Trump as betraying them, but be alive, than view Biden as their hero, and be dead.

No. Putin didn't mind US occupying Iraq, while Russia occupying all of Ukraine, and using as a staging point to go further had national security interests for all Western countries

I'm sure you do, but Ukrainians choose to fight for their country and freedoms.

Yes, he checked his proxy Iran. Unlike what's about to happen, if not already, which is a green light. Iran wanted to oppose us openly, but it's clear that Putin told them that if they provoked an attack from the US, they were on their own. I'm not so sure that's the case today.

I was in a position to see every single aircraft that took flight over southern Afghanistan, for a year. Gun to my head guess as to what percentage of air logistics supporting our Afghanistan mission (2009-2010) were Russian pilots and aircraft, would be 35-50% of the total. I specifically remember one MI26, and a couple MI8 helicopters shot down by insurgents over that year.

We're talking about American Presidents tendency to follow through on threats.

Whatever Putin did to oppose us, it was nothing compared to thousands of antiair and antitank missiles. If we would have had to face that, we would have suffered tens of thousands of casualties just like Russia is today.

Again, since it was an illegitimate invasion, did Putin have a duty to ensure those casualties were inflicted upon us?

No… we’re talking about Trump. Do you believe he’s a man of his word? You don’t even have to answer that. But if you do then ask yourself if this is a good position for him to hold. If you don’t think he’s a man of his word then ask yourself if you believe it’s okay to vote for someone who doesn’t back their word.

They are most definitely not a democracy. They are an enemy of the west. It’s hard to believe you think that.

But let’s put aside whether you think they are an enemy or not. Do you believe our NATO allies are closer friends? Do you believe it’s okay to encourage Russia to attack our long time allies?

Now you want to play word games. Biden released billions to Iran that was sanctioned and blocked to keep the money out of the hands of terrorist.
You can dance around your word games all day.
But you can't change the fact of what he did.

I would say the left needs to put down what ever they are smoking as Russia hasn't even been able to take a small bordering country in 3 years of conflict.
And you think he can or would make war against NATO?
The sky is falling propaganda overwhelming with the left proving they have no idea what they are talking about with Putin or Russia.

To be honest bud, I’m so disgusted with this elections options I may stay home. I truly wonder how and why we digressed so far on both sides.

The solution is going to be an election boycott. Let the deep state puppet get in with only 10M votes in a 350M person country, and watch what happens to the field of candidates in the presidential cycle after that.

    trump gains no more support.
He lost most every single challenge he presented to election credibility. For most of his claims are lies.

New blood came into the process and instead of animosity for show it was real on their part. Many of the old pols got disgusted and left and this is what we got stuck with.

No, Ukraine isn't. Especially for the Russians who lived in the regions Putin has occupied. The Ukrainian government cut them off after Putin annexed Crimea. No representation in Kiev. No pensions. No police. Their language banned. And no protection from the Nazis terrorizing them because those Nazis were working for our CIA.

I don't buy oil by the barrel. I buy gasoline by the gallon. Consumers buy gasoline at the pump. And the National average price of gas in America in 2018 was $2.79 (national average price of gasoline in America in 2018 - Search (bing.com))
Current average price of gas in America = $3.10.
Gas is coming down because Biden needs votes. Are we supposed to forget what he did to gas prices in the intervening years?

    Average national gas prices:

2021 - $2.25 (current average price of gasoline in USA - Search (bing.com)
    2022 - $5 (Average national gas price 2022 - Search (bing.com))
    2023 - $3.22 (Gas price inflation, 2023→2023 (officialdata.org))

Natural gas doesn't effect the price of gas at the pump.
