    You wrote: "
Oil is cheaper now than it was in the summer of 2018! Taking inflation into account the oil price during Summer 2018 was around $85. It is now $76

And you are also wrong with the 60% figure!"

    Let's break that down...

You said... "Oil is cheaper now than it was in the summer of 2018!"
I responded: "And the National average price of gas in America in 2018 was $2.79 (national average price of gasoline in America in 2018 - Search (bing.com))
and "Current average price of gas in America = $3.10".

None cares about the price of crude oil in a barrel. VOTERS care what they pay at the pump. And its more expensive now in the Biden era.

Natural gas is used to generate about 40% of USA electricity. (Percent of electricity generated by natural gas - Search (bing.com))

My post is spot on to falsehoods in your post. Please address the facts and figures rather than just dismissing an opposing post with an emotional, vague, nonresponse.

Virtually no one still trusts our broken justice system. Courts do not have enough residual credibility left put a dent in Trump -- or Biden.

“An NBC News poll shows Trump significantly ahead of Biden on all the major issues, including the economy, the migrant crisis on the border and general competence. There is even better news for Trump in local polls which show him ahead in key swing states.”
THE OBSERVER,Trump campaign sees boost after boost amid bad week for Biden, As Biden was hit by a brutal special counsel report, Trump seemed set for victory at the supreme court and his only serious Republican rival suffered humiliation, Chris McGreal in New York, Sat 10 Feb 2024 11.00 EST.

The MSM now seems to be turning on Biden. That might eventually give him the same kind of boost it has given Trump.
So, don't abandon all hope yet. :)

$2.79 in 2018 is equivalent to $3.43 today. So once again gas at the pumps is cheaper now than in 2018.

I already informed you that 40% of US electricity is generated from natural gas. 60% of electricity is not generated from coal and oil. Only about 20% comes from coal and oil so your claim of 60% is way off the mark

"Trump says he would encourage Russia to ‘do whatever the hell they want’ to any NATO country that do"

if Russia was pulling Trump's strings, that should like something they would tell him to say

    is Trump, Putin's Puppet?

I think its the wrong choice of words, however when Trump was president he oftentimes acted impulsive, he talked impulsive, sometimes for the worse, but in the end, Iran, Russia, Syria and others took more care to not step onto his toes. As I dont have a say in this, my opinion doesnt translate into a vote, but I rather think Trump is the right choice, although I admit to speak out he will let Russia do whatever it wants to is inacceptable for an American president.

This is not true. Nevertheless it makes sense, because at some point the alliance gets meaningless. The point that Trump was the first to find out is also not true. Every president since Obama demanded from Germany (maybe also some other countries) to raise its budget up to 2%. What's true is, that he is the first to confront Europeans with the threat to leave them with their problems alone and that only recently you see reactions to it, but I guess thats rather the war in Ukraine than Trumps talk.

However it could accelerate a necessary development, that Germany (and maybe some other leftist-dominated states) finds back its way into the reality of the world.

They made a commitment to put 2% of their defense money toward NATO. He was holding them to that commitment uisng verbose language. Pretty straight forward.

I only have 1 hope. trump loses.
I prefer others to run besides biden and trump. But at this time, that's not the case.

Our election system is not broken, it's one of the most secure processes in the world.
Fraud of the system is well well well below 1%.
Something like 0.00000007%. Don't take that as accurate, but in the ball park.

    Res ipsa loquitur.

    The Supreme Court:

"It remains true, however, that flagrant examples of such fraud in other parts of the country have been documented throughout this Nation’s history by respected historians and journalists,[Footnote 11] that occasional examples have surfaced in recent years,[Footnote 12] and that Indiana’s own experience with fraudulent voting in the 2003 Democratic primary for East Chicago Mayor[Footnote 13]—though perpetrated using absentee ballots and not in-person fraud—demonstrate that not only is the risk of voter fraud real but that it could affect the outcome of a close election."
    Crawford v. Marion County Election Bd., 553 U.S. 181 (2008) (emphasis mine)

And I'm supposed to view the NATO countries as "democracies" worth dying for? Maybe they were once. But there can be no democracy without free speech. It's the prime prerequisite.

It's clear to me that the principle of free speech is not held in high regard by the leaders and elites of Europe. They hold higher some vague principle of "protecting" their citizens' ears and eyes from words that might upset them. So I'm with Trump; screw 'em.

I agree with your love for free speech and I tip my hat to your point. However in comparison with Russia, a country who imprisons and kills political opponents I would argue that Europe still has moral high ground. It’s scary how close America is getting to locking up political adversaries as well. We should never idolize those tactics.

I don't love free speech. I said it was necessary for democracy. And since COVID, I'm fully aware that most political leaders and elites in Europe don't regard free speech in the same way. Which begs the question: What form of government are they interested in? I've concluded it's not much different than Putin's.

Russia has spent YEARS trying to conuer Ukraine. They started with a straightforward invasion from Belarus. Hundreds of tanks headed right to Kyev. They traveled in column. When contact was made, they stayed in column providing a bumper-to-traffic jam Ukrainians, armed with US made Javelins simply slaughtered in place. Even Plebes at West Point know that once contact is made, you spread from column formation into a wide line formation. The Russians just stayed together and got clobbered.

Russia was also never able to gain air superiority over the airspace of an enemy that had no significant air force. In about two years, Russia has made modest ground gains... at best.

The Russian Army had one of its major ground components leave the battle and threaten movement to Moscow.
The Russian populace is totally against the war. People are abandoning the country over it.

The Russian Navy is getting clobbered too.

The Russians would be fools to threaten NATO.

Use of nukes could change all that... but that's always been the WILD CARD.

So now we know you don’t love free speech. How far off is that from europes opinion? They believe they support free speech. They just think that they don’t allow hate speech. There is no such thing as free speech if you ban even hate speech. They have never believed in free speech in the way that we do. However, they are still better than Russia.

I was referring to the overall elections in the country.
The number of fraud will never ever be ZERO(0). That's a statistical impossibility.

So, your 1 case doesn't really change the overall security of the entirety of the election processes.

But if you live in Marion country and you are upset with their election process, you can go something about it.
Your 1 case is nearly 20 yrs old.
So, it does show that it's not perfect, but you only brought up 1 case in the last 20 yrs.

There is no political person even remotely being targeted as an adversary that's going to be locked up in USA.

There is a political party that I along with many more Americans believe is actively destroying democracy by limiting voter choice at the ballot, politically bankrupting adversaries, and politically attempting to lock up adversaries. Although I do not support the man politically I am not ignorant enough to be blinded to the attempts to politically ruin him.

I asked a hypothetical. Why are you looking for ways to denigrate and vilify the left?

On the first day of the invasion, the invaders' leader announced 4 specific provinces of interest. Going on 3 years later, the invaders have occupied (and have for some time now) those exact regions, almost down to the square mile.

Sounds like a successful invasion to me...
