I do hope they act swiftly. I'm not sure it's a realistic that we're going to even get to the point of a trial in any of these cases. I expect we are going to see pardons from governors and Biden before we ever get past Jury selection in any of these cases.

At this point, I could not care less about the "court of public opinion". Now it's the court of law that is relevant. The former cannot sentence Trump to prison. But the latter can.

 

I so hope that he's arrested for unpaid parking tickets and then after his fanatics are thoroughly embarrassed and go home the felony gets dropped on him.

1) This isn't the FBI doing the investigating and

2) while a tangent, I suspect that Hunter Biden could be investigated for child porn. The computer shop guy said that was one of the first things the FBI agents who showed up was asking about. Those cases can take years to prosecute if the minor in question is not already in their database. They basically have to track the person down, verify their age at the time, etc etc. It was part of the reason a lot of states added the "simulated" child porn to their statutes---to try to speed up prosecutions.
