Many conservative-leaning U.S. states and communities are nowhere near reaching the level of COVID-19 vaccination that could keep them safe from future outbreaks of the highly contagious Delta coronavirus variant, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

And numbers from the National Institutes of Health suggest they probably shouldn’t be relying on natural immunity to protect them, either.

Across America, the people most at risk of serious illness or death from COVID-19 — senior citizens — have been vaccinated at the highest rates so deaths and hospitalizations will never again reach their horrific winter highs. Overall, experts agree, the worst of the pandemic is behind us.

allow me to point out how a "media source" that serves your belief system is used. Please show me where in this "news" article it lists population and number vaccinated of each state. Note how it wiggles with the agenda statement? Or, where does it list Democrat leaning states that have low % as well................I won't hold my breath

Getting a vaccine is not living like an earthworm. That is living like humans. Modern humans with scientific solutions which help them not to put themselves and others at undue risk from preventable illnesses, to put a finer point on it.

Of all the US dead of COVID, less than 300 were under the age of 18 a group whose death rate is zero until you get to the fourth decimal point. Who in their right might would vaccinate a minor, and subject them to vaccine risk for a disease that has a near zero death risk to them?
