He trumped up the war with Afghanistan? Shall I play you what Democrats were saying about Iraq's WMD even before Bush got in office?

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwqh4wQPoQk"]Democrats on Iraq + WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction) - YouTube[/ame]

Bush cut taxes 5%. The Democrats cut it 21% in 1965 during the Vietnam War and Johnson started his multi billion dollar war on poverty to go with it. But you never hear Liberals bring that up do you?

Grasping at straws again are we??? I think your overmatched on this one.

My son who is in the military says that most of the job cuts are going to come from soldiers who are at retirement age. They'll retire and not be replaced. Its not as bleak a picture as you paint.

    Dude...what do you figure?
That Democrats take Congress and poof...instant recession?
PLEASE tell us yer not that shallow?

In 2007, the effects of 2 unfunded wars began to rear its ugly head...by 2008 de-regulation compounded the problem.

In 2008 and 9 Bush and Obama released the TARP funds to the economy.
They saved the major banks and the car industry.
They also infused the economy with some much needed cash.

It is now the beginning of 2012.
For the last year and a half we've been seeing the effects of the efforts of Bush (once he woke up) and Obama.

Your argument is not only shallow...its nonsense.

I think you are smart enough to figure that out. Congress makes the laws that DIRECTLY influence the economy.

    Not even close to accurate.

Obama beats Bush in terms of improvement in every major category at this point in Bush's tenure.

Who didn't want to pay for the war in Vietnam and Johnson's war on poverty when he cut taxes 21%, not a lousy 5% that Bush did?

Most of the money Clinton left was used up rebuilding after Katrina.

    Ahhhh I see.

So this is a Republican written bill that Obama doesn't really like very much.
Hmmmm...so are you also condemning the Republican Congress for wanting even MORE power to detain than Obama does?

This is why Obama is a bozo. HELLO Obama you cannot promise this for future presidents, so why would you sign it? Idiot.

    and the Deficit:
Bush had a 285 billion increase in the deficit in his first full year
Obama had a 179.5 billion decrease in the deficit in his first full year.

    and the stock market:
The Dow had decreased 13% at this point in the Bush presidency
The Dow has increased 47% at this point in the Obama presidency

Do you think that OVER regulation (of wall st. traders) made the housing bubble and crashed the economy?
Do you think that OVER regulation (of environmental health) contributed to the BP oil rig spill?

They both happened because of UNDER regulation so of course the righties believe the opposite... that's how they operate.

Considering that the unemployment increase was confined entirely to his first year, and over 2 million jobs have been added since, we can conclude that you're blaming Obama for the great Bush Recession.
