What does it mean when the President won't follow the rules of the constitution and just do things as he sees fit? Is that democracy, republic, or dictatorship? He has done it several times and expressed several times that he doesn't care if congress doesn't approve of what he wants, he will just go around them. Again, what does that sound like to you?

I wonder how much longer Republicans think they can dupe Americans into believing the economy hasn't improved substantially since it was on the brink of a depression in early 2009.

 

What's your beef? It took Bush only 3 months to unemploy those people. And your ilk cheered at the time at all those lazy, shiftless, people drawing unemployment checks.

 

I agree with the first part. The second part is false though. The first part is more than accurate and that is why hoping that Tax breaks stir the economy is the wrong way to go about cutting our deficit. Take 2001. A tax cut happened then too, but 9/11 happened a stalled any chance of that working. 2003-2007, the world was pretty much steady, so there for the tax breaks worked.

Taxes are only a symptom of the bloated government spending. Those that focus on the symptoms never take care of the underlying cause.

Funny thing is, God must really hate Obama, cause nothing of the past 3 years has worked for him and Obama blames all the natural disasters as the cause. Although our economy didn't shrivel up after Katrina.

I showed you that Tax cuts CAN help...if applied at the right time. Do I say they will always work? NO. Did I not explain what dropped our economy in the first place? And did I not show you how people don't take that extra money they recieve from tax cuts and save, they just spend more. This what the government hopes for so that more revenue is generated through more demand. This all feeds into really the government justifying ever growing size and expenses. Get rid of the expenses, get rid of the NEED for such outrageous taxes.
