US Marines Posed With Nazi Symbol in Afghanistan

    Anti-semitism has been around for Centuries, I have no idea, why an ethno-religious group is so persecuted for so long...to the point that they were almost exterminated off the face of the Earth. It is truly a quandary...they are blamed for every woe that befalls mankind...
    and still idiots out there deny the holocaust.

    My Father is a WWII veteran, he was tasked with guarding abandoned "work" camps scattered around Germany...

    Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, political dissidents....

    All murdered and/or forced to work in labor camps until they were no longer useful..then off to the death camps.

    Women, children...did not matter.

    Murdered.

    Millions.

    Murdered...for no reason other than having a certain ethno/religious identity.

    yet today the Third Reich still has it's ardent followers and admirers...

    Germany was bombed into oblivion...Soviet soldiers raped any German woman they could find...Germany was laid waste...
    all because of a political philosopy based upon hatred.

    The Third Reich was reduced to dust...yet some folks never learn.

    Hate gets you nowhere...it's rooted in absolute ignorance..and apparently there is no shortage of ignorance today.

    According to your link, the bodies were of prisoners who died of typhus.

    As serious historical research into the holocaust has increased, we are now being told that our six million little friends all perished behind what later became known as the "iron curtain".

    You can take the Soviet Union's official history at face value if you wish. Those of us interested in knowing the truth will stick to actual evidence.

    I have to agree it would be nice if liberals didn't tell blacks they aren't good enough, push for health care we can't afford and spit and scream on military recruiters.

    Far left Liberals of course hate the military. They defund it, scream at recruiters and deny them access to college campuses.

    Knowing their history its no mystery why they don't waste an opportunity to crap on the military one more time.

    People who bring this stuff to light care less about how the military portrays itself. their claims that the US military represent the entire US are. Designed to just give them oppertunity to exaggerate any instance an individual gets out of line. If they truly cared how the military was viewed overseas they would not take a story like this that would otherwise be known to only a few individuals and paste it for the world to see. Most of the time, our own press, catches these things and broadcasts them around the world when it was not necessary to do so. No one would have know it ever occurred.

    The swastika came from a lot of different places. It's kind of unfortunate that the symbol has been so thoroughly tarnished by the nazis.

    Oh, everyone get your panties out of a wad. The SS symbol has been adopted by dang near every sniper organization in the Marine Corps. Its among their tatoos, decales on their cars, painted on their walls, and included on their shirts. No one is trying to hide it. It does not mean that they conform to nazi ideology or practices. For those of you who think this is the ONLY unit that does it, I, as an former infantry Marine myself, can tell you that it is Marine Corps wide.

    The second I looked this up and say the words Marines and Sniper I knew right away they must have put the SS symbol up representing "Scout Snipers" or 'Sniper Scouts".

    Pretty distasteful and probably should have used a different symbol than that but as a military man I knew right away what they meant by it. They didn't mean it as the form of hate associated with the symbol.

    Still not the smartest idea ever...But I mean these are Marines after all ;)

    Nothing will happen to these Marines… Absolutely nothing… Just another case of civilians getting their panties all scrunched up…

    And from an American (not Marine) point of view. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Oh, the KKK and fly up crosses and do marches, but an American “hero” (Marine, because we all are) can’t stand in front of a SS flag that they say stands for whatever?

    Also, when I was in – there were Neo-Nazi’s… You do know they are American citizens and have the right to express their freedoms just like anyone else!!

    A lot will happen to these Marines. Politicians have been embarassed so the s*** will roll downhill with these Marines being made an example of.

    According to the USMC tattoo policy the use off the SS logo should not be used in any tattoos.

    So these Marines were aware that was not an appropriate symbol, and had connotations with white supremacist organizations.
