I hear there's also some footage around of some Palestinians dragging around the dead body of a woman that they kidnapped from Israel. Any non-graphic footage of that?

Why did this particular death grab your attention?

 

Somewhat reminiscent of the very iconic photograph of the Vietnamese Monk sitting down cross-legged looking extremely peaceful as he burned to death during the Vietnam era.

Some of you may remember it was featured as an album cover on a rage against the machine album. Those were my high school days and when I first remember seeing that photo

 

It's the top story on Daily Mail. Also running on France 24. It will likely be a major story for a few days.

That kind of thing tends to get attention, which is the whole purpose of it. He must have felt pretty strongly about his cause to sacrifice his life for it. Looks like he got the media attention.

Hopefully they are sharing his point of view. Most of them I've seen were very short, and had no discussion about his reasons and point of view. Pretty shameful. I did find one good one:

 

It's not being reported on any UK MSM platforms on TV. It's as if it didn't happen. It's not even on BBC main website front page.
