What if a Loved One Told You They Were G/L/BI?

That is BS; I've seen MANY A STRAIGHT GUY freak-out, when someone thought or suggested they were GAY. People's sense of sexual-orientation and sexual identity... is CRITICAL (at least). Even an asexual or bisexual person cares very much about their "sexual-identity".

 

If a loved one told me s/he is gay, lesbian, bi, etc. I would accept it. If one of my sons told me that he was gay the only issue for me would be the question of lack of an heir of the blood. Maintaining the bloodline is important to me. It's a connection with the past and the only way the past can survive into the future.

 

Soooooo are you going to get around to identifying what was BS?

I have yet to see you make a valid point yet on this issue. You are still trying to rationalize the whole procration thing and it makes absolutely no sense. Your point loses all merit when you consider that...

A. The planet is already over populated so getting married just for procreation purposes is actually counter productive to society.

B. A man and woman can get married and are unable to have kids. Unless you are willing to say you dont want these two getting married then your position on Gay's getting married is simply just bigotry.

 

I'm not the ONLY person who understands that virtually EVERY time you use the word "procreation", it is logically irrelevant to the topic at hand. And as you must know, you DO use the term ("procreation") a lot.

If one of my loved ones told me they were gay or bisexual, I'd give them a hug and tell them that I loved them. Sexuality doesn't change the goodness in a persons heart.

Someone who would disown a loved one, or shun them because of their sexuality are shameful people.
