See you think that Trump is the problem. But he's not. He's a symptom of the problem. WE are the problem and you can't get rid of us. If you get rid of Trump someone will just step in his place. As I posted in another thread here's a message from Trump:

"You can't win Democrats. If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

Well... that's true. People who are willing to vote for a criminal IS the problem. And we can't get rid of them. So true...

That's why we need the precedent that NOBODY is above the law. If another criminal comes to take Trump's place, we won't have to wonder what to do. Put him in prison at the first criminal offense. With Trump, it was unprecedented and we hesitated too much. I don't think we'll be taken off guard that easily next time.

But you just called Trump a criminal which implies he's been tried and convicted which means he wasn't "above the law".

No it doesn't. It only means that he committed a crime. You are confusing "criminal" with "convicted criminal".

Well, since we're "having fun", how about the possibility that Joe Manchin really does put himself forward as a determined Democrat candidate?! My sense is that he would give the Democrats the golden opportunity to send Geriatric Joe off to a nursing home, and, decisively beat Donald Trump in the election!

Democrats do not (NOT) want to present a 'woke' face to most Americans before this 2024 election! On the contrary, Democrats want to look as 'normal', rational, and sane as possible, while projecting a "we're-one-of-you" image. Joe Manchin is the closest they can come to being able to give truth to that narrative. The rest of them are as bad as Biden is -- or much, much WORSE!

The conjecture that would follow a Manchin victory would orbit around whether -- AFTER BEING ELECTED -- Manchin would morph into as big an America-hating, slimebag creep as the rest of them -- however, he might just actually be a decent president after all! :w00t:

Your quote is from Star Wars…

And as to his supporters being the actual issue and trump only being a symptom of the rot — time is probably going to take care of that. His base is aging out of existence and evangelicals decline each year.

Without those two key metrics cons will have to severely reposition themselves to remain competitive.

When is the last time y’all won the popular vote?

I fear that it is doubtful that T and MAGA will graciously accept the loss , and remove themselves from the public or from interfering with the results . Suspect, that we will see a rerun of what T did after losing last time.
(sorry MAGA.......he DID lose, no matter how he spins it, or lies about it or blames everyone else and the kitchen sink .)
T has no boundaries or limits...so one can expect even more of his nastiness. (and obstruction)
And as MAGA will go to "war" for T, so one can expect more violence. Their devotion to him is demonstrated by all the money they give him......and totally disregard the act he is a rapist, an insurrectionist, fraud in business, and other unethical and immoral , legal and personality disorder issues It is as if these are the new values for the MAGA gang.
If he loses it will be very unpleasant. And it will reflect on the country.

You realize that EVERY bit of power and immunity that MAGA wants to bestow on Trump goes with the OFFICE of President - not just with Trump.
You give Trump immunity for any crime committed in office, you give EVERY Democrat who is President that same immunity - and that
is just plain stupid as ****.

Your candidate, Biden , has to lie now everytime he opens his mouth. (most recently the border) There will be a MAGA 25. Enthusiasm is on our side. Do you see Joe or Kamala as something to be enthusiastic for? Republicans vote to fulfill their duty. Democrats vote to virtue signal and fulfill their emotions. Nothing for them to get emotional about here. If Newsom tries to get plugged in over Kamala, we're going to cry racism and misogyny from the roof tops! You made your bed.....lye in it!

All of this speculation starts with the premise that trump and biden will be on the ballot.

A better premise would be what happens if neither trump or biden are on the ballot?

No **** bro I thought Trump actually said that and not obi wan.

His base? His base is made up of working class voters. Not retirees. In fact the retirees don't like him because he's coarse and rude.

Even if they were retirees and were gonna die soon. The old adage is true for a reason. That adage going something like, "If you're not a liberal when you're in your 20's you have no heart. If you're not a conservative in your 40's you have no brain."

As people get older they inherently become more conservative. As they get older they realize that giving their hard earned money and wealth away to slack pieces of **** who want to sit on their ass all day and collect a check while the other people work, doesn't make them happy.

And tell me the last time the popular vote mattered in a presidential election.

You mean like prosecuting your political opponents? That kinda power? Yeah that was a dumbass precedent you folks set.

And for the record Trump's lawyers are NOT arguing immunity from ANY crime committed while president. Only those performed as official acts. Which is exactly how it's been for years. That's why Obama couldn't be charged with assassinating American citizens without due process on foreign soil in countries we weren't in conflict with.

Go ahead and take that immunity away. Do it.

Not What if ............. but when Trump Loses

With 2 incumbent Presidents. Thankfully with records

Trump running on his personal issues and campaigning on Hot button issues to a small base

with no facts on how he will improve Americans Lives

President Biden record is Full accomplishments that better American Lives

That is nonsense! You say you're an attorney? It has already been adjudicated that he committed sexual abuse. I would have a field day in court.

I'm sure that's true, but less than the violence that will ensue when he is imprisoned. Which is inevitable. And the level of violence when this happens is inversely proportional to the margin by which he loses. The violence would be off the scale if he's not allowed to run.

The elegance of her position is that she needs no flip-flopping now and will not need it later. She's really been quite thoughtful.

You mean Repub's support for the SC decision. Glad I could help with that.
