    agree, never said there was not, as long as it's a right, every free Americans has the right to own a gun, but many States "red included", many are being denied that right

    But don't you know that if you feel strongly enough about an opinion... That's enough evidence to make it "a fact"?

    That has to be the funniest thing I have heard all day is that opinion is based on fact..... Lol

    Well, and so I felt justified in asking exactly which 'facts' he was basing his opinion on. Surely it shouldn't be too hard to 'work it backwards'....

    Debunked? Did you debunk that that drug deals are done in the open and that parks are now tent cities for the homeless? That people shoot up in the open? You saying that ain't so?

    Crime rates are irrelevant when people in Portland are simply not arrested or charged for the crimes they do. Yep....that will bring down the Crime rate.

    Do you have stats on how many drug dealers making sales in the open are ignored by police? Or how many parks are free of tent cities? And the number of people doing drugs out in the open with no fear of arrest? Those stats would be interesting.

    And guess what...that type thing don't happen in OKC or TULSA. Homeless don't own our parks and people doing crime fear police.

    Are you crazy, the government only wants you to register your guns like they have your cars so they can come and get your guns. Wouldn't you like to be able to have a car now?

    Any major city. Cities are cancer. If I had to pick one particularly bad city though it'd definitely be London. That place is a dump.

    Like I said earlier several posts ago.....my daughter visits portland often. She sees the drug using out in the open and don't feel comfortable walking through tent cities in the green places. Will not go downtown or parks there. .so she doesn't go to the places she normally loves when in other cities..

    I live close to the centre of a city that regularly ranks in the top 10 (or at worst top 20) most liveable cities in the world. I love it. Its big, intersting, always something to do, decent public transport and good food. Few if any US cities even make such rankings, so there wouldn't be much incentive to move. Even the ones I would consider (Seattle, New York) have crap weather compared to where I live. Seattle is nice for 4-5 months year at most and NYC seems to have the curse of so much of the US in that in swings between being too humid or too cold. I could maybe do San Diego or San Francisco, but I haven't been to either for decades.

    Sadly most of the cities around the world I would enjoy living in have weather I would not enjoy. I'd probably have to do 6 months a year in one & then go somewhere better for the other par tof the year.

    Believe me or not . Dont care.. The more you fight for the good name of that decomposing city the more obvious it becomes to me that it is on the road to real destruction. Will be interesting to see it in 15 -20 years.

    Cars and guns are, in some ways, apples and oranges. Yet, both can be mis-used and cause deaths. Whatever we can do to reduce those deaths is well worth considering.

    I content myself with such things as the Metropolitan Opera, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Green Space and Broadway shows, among other diversions from the 'crap'.

    TBH I would live in any city in Europe because I don't know about cities anywhere outside the US and Europe.
