Where Will New Zealand Be In 50 Years?

What do you think New Zealand will be like in 50 years. Still a small little country or doing badly, or will it even exist?

Crime rates are up. It's pretty depressing but I simply can imagine New Zealand being like a very bad nation.

Crime rate is increasing. New Zealand would be a useful little pawn for bigger countries like the EU and America to throw around. People are leaving in masses. They know trouble is coming.

    What do you think?

What's with all the hate for NZ? I haven't seen a single news article about it anywhere. What happened?

It will be the same adopted lame and retarded little brother of US. They learned some, but not the most important lessons of US greatness.

They will forever be the runt of the litter.

Doing great and and being a place I would like to live. Plus, I hear they love their sheep, which makes it all the more appealing

Keep up the global warming, guys.

Along with all our new oil, we'll be exporting you tropical fruits and hot sheep. Unless the Chinese beat you to it.

    Place your orders now.

Not too smart. If that happens, NZ could be reduced to a few mountain tops among the waves.
How long can sheep tread water?

New Zealand will be to Australila what Hawaii is to the United States, a state that is located across the ocean.

New Zealand was almost part of Australia earlier in its history and will eventually become part of that country. The New Zealanders will be all for it but the Australians will fight the idea tooth and claw.

Barring that, New Zealand will become the first country officially run by sheep after a large, Merino male leads a revolt and the sheep take over the government from the people who are too busy playing lawn bowls and trying to be British to notice.

I got this odd feeling that Awryly is the cause of most of the anti-NZ hate on this forum.

NZ is just there to be exploited by Australia. That's all it's there for :-D

    Whatever gave you that idea?

I have visited both Australia and New Zealand and found the people of both countries to be among the friendliest I have come across. Of course I did not run into Awryly while in New Zealand.

If I wasn't American and in love with my country I would choose to be Australian. I love the country and I love the people.

My feelings about Australia are probably because I spent my time in east and central Australia and did not go west of the Ghan railroad tracks. Had I visited Perth and the surrounding area I might not be so enamored of Australia.

Clearly your history has deserted you. Australians wanted NZ in the federation. NZ didn't want a bar of it.

    That's still the case.

WE have a saying here: When a NZder migrates to OZ it raises the average IQ on both sides of the Tasman (Sea).

The more I learn about NZ, the more I admire them. Shame they are all the way across the globe, but maybe that's a good thing. Keep them as far away from American corruption as we can.
