    Nah,...
The word for "rib" refers to parts of the psyche.
In the Hebrew, rob means "a doorway into."
The feminine part of our mind is the Anima.

That is what chapter 3 was talking about, the evolution of the archetypal mind.

Everything, (except you), yourself, is a theory.
We all must use theories which we devised by using Truth to describe it.

As a child, you had to discover that your own hand belonged to you, could pick up stuff, and was controlled by your own mind.

Kinetic energy is a form of energy (that's why it's called kinetic energy), and you said we are assuming different forms of energy always existed. You are saying energy is a byproduct of energy; a more accurate way of putting it is that energy changes from one form to another.

Uh-huh. First, how do you know God is perfect? Also, define "perfect", and show how that supposed trait would allow God to create something from nothing (which as we know is impossible, so would require magic).

Not really. What I'm saying is that kinetic energy is a byproduct of a certain phenomenon. You can't say that kinetic energy always existed when it is something that is inherently caused.

God is perfect because He is eternal. Perfect is defined as:

Since God is perfect, He can do as He pleases, and that includes creating something from nothing. Indeed, a creator who can't create as he pleases is not a perfect creator.

Something that is inherently caused CAN always have existed if the cause always existed.

...but he would still be doing it by magic, because we all know that something cannot come from nothing. "He can do as he pleases" in no way implies that he's not doing it by magic. And how else could he do the impossible, other than by magic? That's pretty much the definition of what constitutes magic.

BTW, you forgot to say how you know God is perfect, besides your assertion that he is.

But the cause itself didn't always exist in this case. All you have is an object in the form of energy (always existing) and motion (always existing). The very conditions that cause kinetic energy are not not present.

Impossible to you, not Him. It's not magic in His case, rather, He does what His perfect nature allows Him to do- which is anything.

I told you, He is perfect because He is eternal.

How do you know that the conditions did not exist?

OK, so nothing but your own assertions. Got it.

Because the universe did not always exist.

I don't see how you reached this conclusion.

Haven't we been over this already? This universe didn't exist, that doesn't mean that others didn't. And those others could provide the same conditions allowing for things like kinetic energy. A universe is just a bubble of space/time.

Simple, I ask how you know a thing (besides your own assertions), and all I get is more assertions. "God created the universe because he is perfect because he is eternal because I said so."

    1. Your assertion just brings us back to square one.

    2. It doesn't make logical sense that those conditions always existed. Why? Because if the conditions that cause kinetic energy always existed, then potential energy can't possibly exist in such a scenario. Why? If an object is always in motion, it is never at rest.

He's eternal because something can't come from noting. I though we agreed on this.

No. You made that up. Every claim about God (including his existence) is made up. It's easy for you to think you can win these debates when you can make up any answer you wish.

Then provide the data that shows an eternal God exists. No one has ever found this imaginary entity you call God so the only rational conclusion is that it and it's attributes are entirely made up.

Funny, the conditions that cause kinetic energy exist right now in our universe, and yet potential energy also exists here. Doh! Didn't think that one through, huh? (hint: there can be more than one object in a universe)

    1. Being around forever does not equal "eternal" per your definition (i.e. you also stipulated unchanging as part of eternal)
    2. You offered nothing more than an assertion that being eternal meant being perfect. Why can something not be eternally flawed? There are a lot more ways of being flawed than being perfect, so the probability of an eternal thing being perfect are approximately infinity to one.

Are you serious? We are not discussing this universe. We not not discussing universes.

That would depend on how exactly it changes.

Imperfection is a form of self-destruction.

Data? No, I'm not an atheist- and thus not a materialist. I don't need to see God to believe in Him. What would be the point in belief then?

Actually that's a question you need to be asking yourself. If you have no actual data that a God exists, why bother believing?

Aside from religious reasons, God is the only logical alternative available that explains the existence of everything.

If God exists, he's a part of everything so now you must explain why God exists. Good luck.

Kinetic energy exists. Potential energy exists. You said both couldn't exist in the same "scenario". You are wrong.

Another unsupported assertion. What a surprise.

And since when were we talking about what occurs in this universe? Never.

    No, mere logic.

    - - - Updated - - -

No, He's simply the Creator of everything, and is outside His creation.

If "we" all use theories which "we" devised, then it would seem equally truth-full that the 'truth' we are using is also one of the devices that "we" use to 'devise' the theories. Subsequently, truth is subjective and dependent on how and what the individual considers to be 'truth'.

Now that is a mind blowing observation on your part Dave. Like Wow!

Doesn't matter. You said the two things could not exist together. You have been proven wrong.

At this point, I really doubt that you even know what logic is.

Of course it matters, as the whole basis of this discussion is concerned with what occurred BEFORE the universe existed.

    Ditto.
