Who wants to be surounded by "Blowies',

Life hint" if the feather dosen't work use the sword"!

Always remembering that if one lives by the sword there is a possibility one could die by the sword ,as we presently see in the Arab world!

Albanese does resemble a Blowfly ,come to think of it,an uncanny resemblence actually, particularly up close and personal!

That's really interesting I never knew that. When you think about it, have you ever really had a fair election?

The ballots aren't counted in secret by one political party.

You use electronic systems which have been shown to be the most easily manipulated. In fact, electronic systems have bugs.

Ever put a number in 1 box but have the paper bug and put it in another? No, me neither.

If you think that using an ink pen somehow makes a ballot impossible or harder to manipulate then you're just not thinking hard enough. It's not like using a pen is signing the ballot in your own blood.

What, the ballot can't just be replaced if you sign in ink? We don't sign our names on them, we don't sign our names in blood on them, etc, they are secret ballots. After they are cast there is no way to know who cast which.

We have the Political Duopoly system ,of 1 bunch of corrupt politicans called the ALP vs the other equally corrupt Liberal\National which has existed for over 100 years until the March 2011 NSW Election where the ALP imploded!

The short answer is no election is fair as the political duopoly serves it masters in the form of the big 4 banks ANZ,Westpac,Commonwealth,NAB[who comprise 95% of the market and mining companies like Rio-Tinto and BHP!,

Workers who comprise the vast majority of the population don't get a look in!

    sound familiar??????

    Political duopoly has to go!:gun:

Bowerbird: "You will always catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."

I certainly respect diggers and Kiwis, Awryly notwithstanding, but what exactly do you do with the flies you catch?

    whould you trust the result?

    oh,no conflict of intrest hey!

We vote with pencils ,and then the only people allowed to count the vote are members of the 2 major political parties effectively, that have run a decades long political duoploy!

I am claiming nothing, all i am saying is that the ALP and Lib\Nats run a POLITICAL DUOPOLY that represents the direct intrests of the Banks and big corporations!

Thats why they are both hostile to the greens for instance, and were to the democrates ,and will be both to anyother political formation!

they don't call the system ,Westminster for nothing,THE GOVERNMENT AND THE LOYAL,thats ,LOYAL OPPOSITION!

I represent the UN-LOYAL Opposition Party!

    The SEP!

Have you noticed that all the legislation no matter how draconian ,passes from one government to the next irrespective.

what was it Howard said ,thats right,"NO GST NEVER EVER" oh how I remember the blasting of the anti-GST ALP!

    Question;do we have a GST???????

Pencils are provided because they are cheap, dependable, easily maintained and stored for their infrequent use. There's no law to stop you using a pen.

When was the last time you ACTUALLY WENT AND SCRUTINEERED?

The Political Party's in the Election chose ALL Scrutineers[that count the votes]As the ALP and LIB 's are the only party's that man all booths,it is their Members that overwelmingly count the ballot papers!

Even the 'Officals" at the booths are usally members of the ALP\Lib Duopoly!

I really wanted to say the other reason they only use pencils.

WHY?....."Austalians don't use pens, because there is no eraser".

    Correct.

The provision of pencils in polling booths is a requirement of section 206 of the Electoral Act. There is, however nothing to prevent an elector from marking his or her ballot paper with a pen if they so wish.

The AEC has found from experience that pencils are the most reliable implements for marking ballot papers. Pencils are practical because they don’t run out and the polling staff check and sharpen pencils as necessary throughout election day.

Pencils can be stored between elections and they work better in tropical areas. The security of your vote is guaranteed as the storage and counting of ballots is tightly scrutinised.
