Classic form of Rule a pretense of Democracy, and simplistic in the extreme.

Why is Australia a "Democracy"evidently because the Government has a opposition ?

what if both have the same political perspective?Nationalism!

    Is that Democracy?

The Libs are in front. From the news report, they have 73 seats, and Labor has 70.

    The problem with pencils again!

Not accurate ,smudge with recounts, fade ,whats formal the first time counted is informal 5 times around.[not to mention a eraser, here and there dosen't have to be many]

Ink Doesn't fade ,is more stable and better for close elections when recounts are the order of the day!

    The pencils day is numbered!

Don't worry, I made my mark really dark and the pencil went through the paper, so I am pretty sure they got my vote!

Oh dear, I have a funny feeling that the pencil sharpeners are being started up already!

Is that feeling another Australian Election in the wind ,or just the smell of pig swill coming from the direction of Canberra???

How long can the insane govwernment of Julia Gillard remain,$300 million for set top boxes for pensioners.

    break down

    set top box = $50

installation and training of pensioners[to use remote] =$250

cost of 68cm plasma TV with HD reciever off the shelf =$299 any major distributor!

    The Government is NUTTY!

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/05/08/3210662.htm

And yes the Government is quoted saying that they are giving set boxes out so that pensioners don't sit in the dark!

This government thinks a TV,is infact the source of lighting in pensioner households.

Mind you with the increases in electricity prices lately they may be onto something.

i wonder if the heat from my computer can roast a chicken!!!!

Maybe they don't have a major political party that believes they have a right to have dead people vote, make bogus registrations so their thugs can vote repeatedly, and that disappearing ballots are a natural phenomena. Perhaps they don't have a major party that believes requiring voters to identify themselves is a violation of their rights, to what, vote repeatedly? Perhpas they don't have a major party that believes they have a right to physically coerce old people into voting the way they're told.

Hang in there Australia. Keep your pencils sharp.,

Everyone is just jealous that while they had to sign their ballots Australians were casting secret ballots, hence it's known as the Australian Ballot system. That's right! We win!

We have such a Major political party that does all that you say in fact all the Major political parties in Australia ,are just as if not more corrupt then anything Mexico produces .

the ALP and Lib\Nats are indeed nothing but corrupt, voting in Australia is a joke ,you vote for a Government that ,no matter which party wins, attacks every democratic principle inthe book, kills little children in far off Nations, presently Iraq and Afghanistan!

Pockets billions for themselves and their rich mates, the NSW electricity grid was sold for 400 million instead of the 24 billion it was valued at.

Lets innocent people die ,50 refugees died when their ship was allowed to crash into rocks!

And carries out a systematic 200 year campaign of terrorising and literal genocide of the indigenous Aboriginal population!

and then tells us that this is Democracy?????

I don't know who taught them what democracy is ,but if what is called 'Democracy ' in Australia ,actually Democracy, then label me stupid!

the 2 forms of Democracy battling out are,Capitialist Democracy vs Workers Democracy!

as their are overwhelmingly more Workers to capitialists,Workers democracy is ,true Democracy!

Its time for true workers democracy to Dictate to Capitialist democracy ,we call that Revolution!

My class of people ,the working class not the capitialist or their middle class hanger on-er- ers are instinctively democratic.

whereas the other classes who want their privileged, propertied social positions maintained at any cost must be Oppressive by nature and un-democratic!

Yes the true history of Australasia, that is South Asia ,is Asian has been for 40 000 years now in respect of human occupation ,and millions of years in relation to geography!

but if you speak of modern history please open the history text book to australia being federated as a Nation [note not a colony of britian]on january 26th ,1901.

I realise that the education system in Queensland is backward ,but I didn't realise it had decayed so much!

Or is Anna Bligh ,running around changing school text books saying 'We are Queenslanders and are different to Australians'??????

Maybe a bit stupider, ignorant and backward but Queensland is an AUSTRALIAN state!

    lets do the math,40 000 years Aboriginal,till terra nullus??????1788 occupation-2011.

    1788 - 1901 =113 years British colony!

    1901-2011 = 110 years AUSTRALIA,oh i see your point ,i will be correct january 2014!

it is good to know one is right 3-4 years in advance!

that is of course if australia lasts another 4 years, which looks very doubtfull!

But I do stand corrected by myself ,australia was federated on january 1st 1901,not on the 26th as i had previously stated!

You don't think Australia will last another 4 years? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Australia is one of the most economically and politically stable countries on the planet.

And you're not right 4 years in advance, you're just wrong.

Australia dosen't exist Economically today ,newsflash ,GLOBALISED economy exists and has taken over from National economic forms ,past tense,as far as politically stable ,look at parliament as it presently exists, thats the Gillard government and the Lib\nats and of course the independents and greens,Stable the minority government is NOT!

it will be lucky to last the next months let alone full term,

stable politics in AUSTRALIA???? what drugs are you on?????

Lucky thinking humans can cognise living reality as it exists,we have to deal with things as they are not as we think they are!

There is a historic political crisis in Australian political life ,news flash, the NSW ALP has imploded!

Thats over 100 years of political tradition ,yes even before federation ,finished gone ,no longer effective politically!

But must mean nothing ,Hey Cobber!

politics as part of the Universe abhors a Vacuum!

Correction ,I am not right 4years from now ,I have been right for decades!

Philx's big day out at the NSW Election, arrived marrickvllle town hall, imediately attacked the 2 young girls campaigning for family first, they lasted 10mins under the political barrage and left!

local ALP candidate and former health Minister Tebbit, ran away after 1 shot!

then the ALP sent the big guns, federal minister Anthony Albanese, after a very vocal engagement on his support for the Aghanistan War,he came back with his son!

Saying 'No politics my boy is here"

I ignored his human shield and shamed him in frount of his son on his support for the continuing carpet bombing with cluster bombs of the children of afghanistan .

and rebuked him for shamelessly using his son as a human shield ,much the same as gaddafi!

he left not to return all day ,with my political challenge ringing in his ears ,'i will debate you anytime on the War anywhere".

Of course I was threatened with violence ,only problem is that the old political thugs of the NSW ALP are now getting close to 70 years old ,not very fearsome anymore!

I pointed this out putting them in a frenzy to such a point that the poliing officer asked the ALP to remove them!

i lasted the entire day and won a ovation from all those who had left thye ALP and joined the greens, and by the workers who had wittnessed it!

a happy day was had by all except the NSW ALP of course!

what I would really like to know, is, if the Australian voter spills his/her beer on the ballet, while attempting to pencil an X in the little box, and the ballet is unclear, is the beer stain considered as proof of allegiance to one party or the other?:xd::beer:
