Have I insulted you personally? If so please point me to the relevant bit. Oh, and you just demonstrated your bigotry and infantile prejudice perfectly. Quod erat demonstrandum.

I treally wouldn't start throwing the 'zero morals' argument around-especially as you profess to be a Christian. Shall we discuss the serial and endemic abuse, rape and buggery of small children by Catholic priests? No? Thought not; glass houses, stones etc.

You're making a lot of assumptions here, most notably that people presenting a contradictory point of view are part of the gay community. I'm a grandfather of two boys and as happily heterosexual as gays are to be gay.
I really can't see any logic or remotely viable argument agains gays who wish to marry. All I hear is 'ew, it's icky', or sentiments to that effect. Not really good enough.

Then your gay friends can thank you for the letter and email writting frenzy I am going on to my elected officials speaking against gay marriage.
Like I said earlier, I WAS fairly moderate on the subject. People like you have made me decidedly against it to the point of I will get as involved fighting it as I am in fighting for the second amendment.

A hoax, of course. I guess all the quotes of the Pope condemning paedophile clergy were fictional, and an actor stood in for him at the meeting of the cardinals. Yep, that'll be it.

Did bad, wrong and criminal things happen in a group of people a billion strong?
Yep, but it was no where near like its portrayed.
I grew up in the catholic church from Maryland to Florida and never once did anything happen to me.
No one put thier hands on me or my friends. Except that mean assed Sister Francis that would beat the crap out of you.

You're going into a frenzy? Get help. Really. But before you do, please let us know what you find so personally offensive and potentially damaging about gay and lesbian marriage-just so we can get an idea of what your representative is in for, during your frenzy.

    - - - Updated - - -

Ah yes, one personal anecdote. 'It never happened to me so it never happened' is a pathetic attempt at defense.
Tens of thousands of children, globally, have been victims of serial abuse by Catholic paedophile priests over decades. To try to deny it calls your 'faith' into question. Simply because they're Catholics, and clergy, doesn't absolve them from their crimes.
We can talk about abusive nuns too, if you want. Plenty of those too. Oh, and some of those in this "group of people" are supposed to be your spiritual and moral exemplars, placed in a position of ultimate trust. The abuse of that trust is an abuse of their faith. The Catholic church, as Pope Francis has pointed out, has no place for the bastards.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/rel...ct-decisively-against-paedophile-priests.html

Yea, I figured thats what you would key on.
You types are so predictable its funny.
I live in the south, the bible belt for lack of a better term. So my e-mails will be well taken by my elected officials and the ones on the republican side of the isle will know where we residents of the south stand and the other side of the isle better find another issue to take up.

Actually its anyone that let it happen to and did nothing about it ought to just shut up.
Whining about it for lawsuit 30 years later gives me no reason to have sympathy for them.

"republican side of the isle" "the other side of the isle " - obviously you are one of the southern dummies voting for Republicans.

The tide has already turned. The President and Vice-President are on the record supporting it, prominent REPUBLICAN's are changing their minds on it as well. You can write all the letters you want, but you'll just be pissing into the wind.

Because the left has some hidden agenda behind their fight for it - this is why they have given so much more attention to this issue which affects only 3-5% of the population - than they did toward women being barred from serving in combat (which affects 51% of the population).

Therefore my instinct is to opposite by default.

A perfect example of the paranoia on the right. I am really worried that the far right has finally gone bonkers. Their paranoia continues to grow.

Not at all. It certainly does not affect me if other people get their rights too.

Then why are you fighting for something that doesn't affect you?

See, I care about everyone's rights. Even your right to rant against something that doesn't affect you.

I really don't think there is agenda by those who support gay marriage. Many people simply believe it is the right thing to do.

But here's the thing. Since you have admitted that it doesn't affect you either and yet you still choose to make it your business for whatever reason, you cannot then turn around and ask somebody else why they are against something that doesn't affect them without contradicting yourself. Do you see the problem?

The basis of the gay marriage argument is the people who love each other should be allowed to get married. Ok, then by that standard, the number of people who love each other shouldn't be a barrier to getting married either. There has to be a line somewhere.

Yes, I have often said that there is flawed logic on the far right. Isn't it my right to question you on your phobia?

Seriously there is no logic to your opposition to gay marriage except your feelings.

Yes, we always love the off topic paranoia. Tell me which heterosexual can marry more than one lover?
