I wish people would make up their mind on here if I'm a liberal or a conservative. I'm about to have a identity crisis being called both.

Are you concerned with all the dual citizens in the US government?

He was born in Hawaii- anyone born in the U.S. is an American citizen.

What pure idiocy. I am tempted to insult all Conservatives the same way but I have some respect for the truth. But you are part of the problem our country has- a large part of the problem.

Anyone born in the United States is a natural born citizen, except a child of diplomat. So yes, in your scenario the person would be eligible.

It would be up to the voters- American Citizens- to decide whether that person should be President.

    Birthers despise American voters.

The child was born in the US to two US citizen parents. He meets all the requirements. Yes!

    Now for my question:

I'll use your scenario except one parent is not a US citizen before moving to Japan. Is the child Natural Born?

Under the laws of today yes.

but what makes it different that the child lived in another country most of his life just because he had two parents that are U.S. citizens. and the difference between having only one parent as a U.S. citizen.

They both have lived in a foreign country most of their life. so they would have some loyalty to that other country. and if they had kids from somebody in that country they would have even more loyalty to that country.

Still does not change the fact that under one circumstance you would allow them to be POTUS and one you would not.

All this he said she said crap.....Look at it this way....Were all stuck with this Fella.

When his term is up....And IF this mixed-up goverment and country makes it till then. He will get the boot to the curb.

He has proven to be up till today, a useless nothing, and an embarrasment of a President.

Not much saying positive of the Senate or Congress either....A whole lotta that self-minded crap has got to be removed.

Thus I do like the Tea Party concept and movement.

I don't think it would matter legally but politically it would be very embarassing it it was shown Obama was born in Kenya because it would mean that he had lied about his place of birth. However the evidence is very strong for birth in Hawaii so this is kind of a moot point.

I love it. The drones have gone from "birthers are a bunch of crazy, racist, conspearacy theorist" to "It don't matter if it turns out there right".

According to Title 8 Section 1409 of the United States Code "a person born, after December 23, 1952, outside the United States and out of wedlock shall be held to have acquired at birth the nationality status of his mother, if the mother had the nationality of the United States at the time of such person’s birth, and if the mother had previously been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year."

American businessmen, diplomats, military have children born all over the world..

The birth is registered at the nearest US Consulate and the child is a Natural Born US citizen.
