We know masks help. Letting "the cards fall where they will" is willingly putting the life and health of others in jeopardy. But if showing some kind of concern for the life and health of others, including healthcare workers and first responders, is too politically controversial for the fringe right, do whatever you want.

There is no proof that masks help.
Only if clean mask is worn for one hour it might help, otherwise masks act as a storage of live viruses.

There is plenty of proof. So long as both people are wearing them.

If the mask is successfully "storing" live viruses, it is hindering their spread to others.

So your argument is that when stupid people don't wear their mask properly, it doesn't work? uh...... DUH!!

Where did you get your medical doctorate?

    https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-n...ntists-contribute-to-who-mask-guidelines.html

Price: Many people argue that cloth masks can’t be effective because they can’t filter out viral particles, which are extremely tiny. But, as Larry explained, most of these particles leave the mouth and nose in much larger droplets that become smaller through evaporation as they move away from the body. Trapping droplets with the mask means not nearly as many viral particles escape. So, when all parties in a gathering are wearing well-constructed, well-fitting masks, it provides an extra layer of safety for everyone. If two people are wearing masks, the viral particles can travel about 5 feet away from each individual. When an infected person is not wearing a mask, those particles can floatthrough the air 30 feet or more and stay alive for up to 30 hours.

Price: We know that during the first wave of the pandemic, those countries that implemented masking early were more successful than others at reducing the spread of the virus.

That is all true, but they conveniently forget that dirty mask contains much more viruses then occasional droplets.

Again, if you are going to be stupid, then the mask won't work. This is difficult to understand?

If you need more than an hour to shop for groceries, may I suggest you do some pre-planning?

Also, who advised you to wear a dirty mask? You shouldn't take advice from that person. That person is dumb.

majority of people wear the same mask whole day. May be they wash them once a week.

Then they are stupid. When the virus was raging me and my wife made masks. I kept a bucket on the porch. As we walked in we dropped them in the bucket and stayed there until they were washed....in the laundry...with soap.

We probably made 30 of them...so there was always a fresh one.

We have since switched to manufactured paper 4 ply masks. We use them basically once. We MIGHT reuse them if we make a couple stops in one trip...depending on how many people we encounter who are not wearing masks or not wearing them correctly.

And we use hand sanitizer obsessively. Have a bottle in both cars, one in the garage, one in the house etc.

    It's not rocket science

Oh yes? Hmmm. I don't know anyone like that. Maybe your area just has an unusually large percentage of dumb people. /Shrug.

Anyone who chooses to be informed can be informed. We can't fix those who choose to stay ignorant, but we can diminish their negative impact by doing something positive.

Yea, but most people wear mask because they are forced to do that.
They may be stupid but I don't think they care

I frankly don't give a **** how you feel about the mask as long as you wear it.

I have a Home Depot near me where mask wearing is hit or miss. I rarely go there and am exceedingly careful when I do.

It's their loss for not being better about their mask policy

Bullshit. If you got virus on the mask and it came out of your body...you already had it and have kept a lot of it from getting to others.

It doesn't spontaneously appear on masks.

Mask cell is 10,000 times bigger then virus.
Over time, virus penetrates all levels of tissue cells and then gets accumulated on surface.
Whenever head of infected person moves viruses spread around.

You realize that a order to wear a mask isn't necessarily a law, right? Unless the legislature voted on it, and it passed through the court system, there is nothing criminal to going out in public mask-less. I don't fear it, because I know I'm not braking the law. Retailers are in the position to recommend mask coverings, but not require them. A good example of what not to do is what Costco is doing.

My choice not to wear a mask never had anything to do with Trump.

As long as constitutionally protected freedoms exist, you're not going to see the entire country shift to one ideology of al wearing masks or all socially distancing.

I'm afraid that you may be quite right on this. To be quite COLD on the issue of wearing versus not wearing a mask well I don't care if one doesn't wear a mask and someone in their family gets sick and dies because of it, tragic as it is, as that's on them. Just don't assume that one then has the right to endanger my family with their 'freedom' not to be respectful and courteous of the well being of others.

**** the economy. Please tell me what you do so I can immediately stop using that product or service forever if at all possible. I'm heartily sick of this ****. All the "small business" types do nothing but bitch and then turn around and cheat us up the Ying yang at the first opportunity. **** the sorts who wanted to charge my poor naive old mother $2000 to replace a fuse. Now we're supposed to DIE to support their ****** greedy dishonest asses?? **** them. The government has given everyone money just to stay home and not go out and kill themselves and everyone else and will likely give more, and that's STILL not enough?? Kwitchurbitchin and just be thankful if you haven't caught it and died or been permanently incapacitated yet

And recoveries. Not everyone diagnosed with COVID will die. In fact, its far from it. Statistically speaking, the recoveries far outpace the deaths.
