In a residential high rise security is everyone's business and that doesn't make it racist. The guy was too ungrateful to realize she was indirectly protecting him, but the left here twists that into racism.

The want it to be racism. They need it to be racism. Without racism they can't continue their victimhood narrative. Just a few weeks ago women were on top of the pyramid of victimhood, but the left here desperately wants blacks in that coveted spot. Once they realize how many blacks are becoming conservatives the black victimhood aspect of racism will disappear and the left will hunt for another victim to exploit.

    Protecting him from what? Privilege?

Again, minding your own business is the freest thing you can do.

I always try to look on both sides of the issue - which is why I’m called a con or a lib weekly here - and I understand that blacks have faced more than their fair share of discrimination but I cannot understand how someone wanting their residential building secure is a racial issue. They cannot even point to where race was acknowledged. Her losing her job over this is a travesty.

People have the right to feel secure in their home - all he would have had to do is not piggyback through a secured entry point and this wouldn’t have happened. Or entered his code when she asked him to.

Why don't you try walking through a security mechanism someplace without entering your code and see what happens. Try it at an airport, police station or other government building. If no one stopped you or called security they'd be fired and a memo would be sent out to every surviving employee to not let people into secure areas.

As far as privilege goes, it seems Sparky is the one who thinks he has all the privileges.

The racist remarks above simply show racist is as racist does.

The woman was wrong and was punished.

    Racists, mind yer business.

I was with you until you went into the weeds with the silly claim that blacks are becoming conservatives.

I'm not aware of any evidence beyond the mere fact that the victim of this nonsense was black and the perpetrator was not, which is entirely circumstantial. If it was racially motivated, however, and we can't dismiss the possibility, then it is disturbing and needs to be called out. Ultimately it is a question of this woman's motivation.

Yet your statement is not racist? Harrassing someone obnoxiously is not common sense.

She doesn’t make the rules. She just wanted to be the discount rent-a-cop that no one asked for.

There are smart ways to ask and there are dumb insulting ways to ask.
At my last condo community we were gated and had over 125 units and growing. When I spotted a person(s) who I did not recognize I would ask who they were visiting. Since I was on the board I had a list of everyone and I knew everyone. If they gave me a name I would recognize it so I would instantly know if they were legit. Or I would ask if they were the new people. If the answer was yes I would ask which of the units did they buy. I always knew which units recently sold orvwhich new one where sold.

That woman could have asked if he was new to the building.

Except that she had no reasonable cause for suspicion and was harassing the guy ...

4 or 5 years ago I had to travel to Austin for a training class, the entire building belonged to my company. I arrived with a company shirt and ID badge around my neck, by the badge was not programmed to let me into that building. When someone came by I tried to follow him in and he shut me down. I didn't record him and cry racism, I told him who I was, what I was doing and who I was there to see and he went and got the guy. Case closed. No racism.

Do you recall me calling her racist?

Like I said, minding ones own gddamn business is the freest thing you can do. No one asked for her to get on a pedestal.

Still no racism. You guys mentioned racism a lot in this thread but you sure as hell can't point to it. It can just as easily be said that Sparky blew her off because she was white.

Which itself does not make her a racist. She was certainly within her right to ask him to enter the building properly. Once he refused she should have notified security or the police.

Feel free to point where his race was even acknowledged.
I’ve asked several times to no avail.

I’d blow her off too if she wanted to be Captain America when no one asked her.

    Yes she was
She was a resident of the building and he bypassed security measures piggybacking off of her.

It was certainly reasonable for her to ask him to enter the building properly.

Sparky could have been the bigger person in all this but I guess he wasn't up to it. Do you think it's because he hates white women?

She could ask him anything she wants, all that matters is his response. She could ask him if he's from Mars and its' still not racism.

No, that's being racist. How many white men has she stopped?
