Mostly. Would fornication have ever been considered "bad" if there had been no incidence of communicable diseases in our evolutionary path and women could "will" themselves into pregnancy only after finding their perfect mate?

You didn't answer my question. If someone never gets married, why should they be expected to remain a vigin their entire life?

In my opinion, homo sapiens males may be better off if they could pray for true love and perform true love rituals at a temple to a goddess of love, than under our current regime.

This is a horrible analogy. If you're seriously considering a potential mate, reducing your criteria to how they perform in the bedroom... horrible analogy.

Plus, while some test drives are allowed... you put anything on the lot or in the store against your privates and you've bought it. Under garments, blow up toys, and the like are test drive able.

That said, I don't feel a right to make any moral judgement about a couple that chooses to have sex without also choosing to marry.

If you met someone and had sex with them and they were horrible in the bedroom, why would you want to spend the rest of your life with them if they were pathetic in bed?

"Behavioral trait" is no refutation. The capacity of Love for another is factored into that 'behavioral trait'..

That's true but quite a big "if."

Why not teach it in public schools to lower our public tax burden?

Sexual compatibility is a learned thing. If you love somebody, and they love you, the sex will be good. It isn't just technique.

In my opinion and in modern times, nice girl friends should be unwilling to let bad girls have the satisfaction of making fun of mostly nice guys whenever it may be easy and convenient for them to do so, and simply claim it is merely another thing, nice girl friend should always be good for.

Totally agree! My husband and I have been married for 40 years. We had sex for 6 months prior to our marriage, and I'm VERY glad we did.

In addition, he wasn't my first lover, and I wasn't his. . .so we KNEW we were compatible BEFORE we got married!

And, obviously, sex wasn't the only area of our life that worked well for both of us!

So monogamy worked out for you.

You mean you had to compare to the others to know you were compatible ?

Yes, you often need more than one of something to be able to compare.

Let's say that if he had been my first and only, I would have for ever wondered!

This way, at least I know what we shared was special from the beginning, and only grew to be more special, even as we both grew older and less focused on the SEX part of our relationship!

That does happen, you know, after 40 years with one man! ;)

It may not be a perfect relationship but I would definately take the oath "'til death do we part" if I owned it.

What many don't seem to understand is that not all people are sexually compatible. A couple maybe very compatible intellectually and emotionally but physically incompatible when it comes to sex.

Not only would I uncategorically state that not only is sex before marriage "morally" acceptable but also mandatory if a person wants to ensure a quality marriage. I would never marry a woman that I hadn't had sex with prior to even proposing marriage. That would be downright stupid. Then, of course, there are a few stupid people that would but their logic escapes me.

A lot of broken hearts on the way..

A lot of stds spread. Unwanted pregnancies.

When all is said and done, most people will find that one person they love and then wonder how many other people know them like they do.Just another thing that nags at the mind. lol

Of course, this is coming from a man that equates a woman to an object .. In particular, a car.
