I hear you but we are a consumer nation. The government wants you to buy a multitude of products supporting a multitude of industries which keeps a multitude of trade happening.

They don't want you owning 1 pair of jeans, or 1 pair of shoes or 1 phone for life. They want you spending. On many things. Consuming. Our purchasing power is what helps drive our gdp. So instead of wasting all your paycheck replacing your 5 year old phone...they would prefer you bought a phone, maybe a case cover...went out to diner...yadda yadda.

 

Hmmm. Perspective.

 

Definitely bumbling and ridiculous miscalculation in the beginning accompanied with heavy casualties. This is the case no longer.. and hasn't been since with drawl behind the Dneiper reducing the war to one front.. which is Bakhmut .. described as Trench Warfare .. and not "anywar" .. as the worst nightmare ever .. not bad like in WW2 .. but like in WW1 .. where poison gas got famous .. the death is on a scale unimaginable .. 4 hours the life expectancy in the Trench on the Ukrainian side .. now taking much higher casualty rate than in Russia .. as much as 5 to 1 .. even 10 to 1 has been stated .. this being keep hidden over last while .. now starting to seep out.

Russia's logistics are now set up . working very well .. everything arriving by Train and lots of it... this is now an artillery war of attriction .. Russia has more artillery by 10-1 .. and has lots of ammo . .. Watch a couple youtube "Scott Ritter" and/or Colonel Douglas Macgreggor for a realistic assessment.

This is a hell show - the weaponry being used .. some of which should be banned as are on par with biological weapons.. first on my list is the drones .. this is fking terminator --- in the beginning when the humans are running from the machines. .. Watched one video .. and it matters not which side .. when these drones come .. You can't shoot them .. cause if you do .. they are gonna suicide themselves on you ..

and were just getting started in the fkn clone wars .. these HIMARS .. 180,000 tungsten balls .. thing explodes just before hitting the ground .. every living creature withing 100 meters is done (not exactly sure bout 100 meters but was big area) .. crazy after the fact damage .. everything has holes in it .. vehicles .. you name it .. one might survide in a tank .. maybe ..

No one sees the enemy in general .. sometimes in certain situations from time to time .. in general you are too far away to see the dude you killed .. its 30,000 artillery shells a day From the Russians and 10,000 from Ukraine .. and you try and somehow avoid the rain. Ukraine's stuff is more accurate but Russia makes up for it in saturation with 10-1 artillery advantage and more ammo.

and .. its a lost cause .. no one of merit seriously believes Biden's latest JV team will be able to win back Crimea - Vlad will nuke something prior to that happening. and that is the only way it would happen .. Ukraine is not even allowed to attack "Mother Russia" .. how do you win a war with such disadvantage .. where the enemy just moves supplies out of range of your weapons ..

"arms showcase is quite interesting, particularly in the realm of shoulder-fired anti-tank missile systems" just crazy these Javelins .. but that is just for starters .. how about those shoulder launched anti air missiles and other anti air systems including the S-300 .. which is funny that the air space is denied to Russia by a Russian system.. but don't think any aircraft is going to survive .. not at low altitude for sure .. and even higher is real dangerous. Missile technology . be it anti air, anti ship, anti tank .. has far advanced over the ability to defend.

Every one of our carriers is a sitting duck .. should it wander too close to shore .. is about 1000 km as it sits .. getting further by the day .. God forbid you tried to put a ship through the Straights of Hormuz .. or get anywhere near within range of modern anti ship missiles - and Im not talking about the hypersonic stuff being produced the Russia - India - China consortia - The supersonic stuff from the Consortia will work just fine .. or the subsonic products from the consortia - NATO - and others.

but these Drones .. in many different forms ... we need to ban this technology -- yesterday - for use to kill people -- in any way - should be a war crime right up there with biological weapons.

I watched this video a couple of days ago and it only reinforced my position. The Pacific-Asia area is HOT, and it's only going to get hotter with the water supply issue with India-China-Russia all vying for it, and the historic 'uneven treaties' in Asia still playing a part in Russo-Chinese relations.

We had the opportunity to do what Nixon did, and pit the two powers against each other but we failed in any real detente attempt, and the war in Ukraine, just as it brought the Western Powers 'together', so too did it bring China and Russia together. The world is less safe than before the invasion.

let's start with China and not all our allies at the same time, but the truth is, republican been fighting tariffs for years, it may be too late now, especially with foreign outsourcing on the rise.... Trump should have addressed that in his corporate tax cuts, but Trump did not have the balls

the time to add tariffs was early on, before people became dependent on cheap goods - we put our hand in Pandora's Box, gonna hurt now removing it

I will give Trump this though, he has softened Republican on the idea of an Import Tax, they were dead against it in the past

Not sure about that claim. MLK was right, and the record since his death has shown, that the largest purveyor of violence and evil on this planet is the US government. That does not make me happy or proud, but the facts do support that. Libya, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and now Ukraine. US and NATO

It's hard to tell what's really going on. All we have is second-hand info so I really can't say.

Douglas Macgregor says that the Russians would have mounted a serious offensive at the beginning of winter, but they didn't because the ground never froze completely and their vehicles would have just sank. Now they have to wait for summer when the ground is hard. Did the mainstream media ever talk about that? I don't watch much mainstream stuff so if they did, I missed it.

Ritter was about the only person who kept saying there were no WMD in Iraq. Would have saved the US a lot of grief if the US had listened.

I'm not in a position to be able to be sure whether what Scott Ritter and Douglas Macgregor say reflects what's really happening but they seem to make sense and they seem to have the backgrounds to know what they're talking about. I never said I was sure they were right but I'd bet that they're right. It would be pretty silly to just take the mainstream version of things as fact considering their record of lying.
