Every "GOD" is the wrong "God" to someone else...even within Christianity, Islam, or any other religion there is dispute and animosity because you all make up your own version of it. There is only one logical conclusion concerning this simple "FACT"....as you all cannot figure out which version is correct, and you are the ones claiming it to be real....IT IS NOT!

Really? Even though there's no evidence?

Joseph Smith claimed that the plates he used to make up, create, invent,
the book of Abraham were given to him by an angel. They were later found
to be Egyptian book of Breathing that was used at funeral rights.Visit the link.

Dunno about asia/pacific and Japan, but I happen to have some in-laws in Norway. Seems to me that the Protestant Church of Norway (70% of Norwegians are members) is pretty much like my own: not exactly the intrusive kind.
I get a similar impression from the very liberal Danish (78.4% of Danes are members) and Swedish (65.9% of Swedes are members) Protestant Church.

Is it possible that you are overly sensitive? I mean, most people go to church to talk about their beliefs. That’s kind of the whole point of a church. So how are people there supposed to know you’re an exception?

Or do you just make things up to support your own Pippi-Longstockings world, in which 2 times 3 makes 4 and there are "atheist majority" countries in Scandinavia? :blankstare:

The Egyptian Book of the Dead and the Code of Hammurabi predate Judaism and exist for scholars to study.

I disagree with you, I know the Bible doesn't explicitly say, "Satan is Lucifer" however though when we look at several passages in Scripture we can conclude that Satan can be non other than Lucifer.

Let's take a look at some of these passages in Scripture and see how they relate to each other. Below is the passage from Isaiah 14:12 from the King James Version which is describing the fall from heaven of one called Lucifer:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

This fall of Lucifer is more than likely the same that Jesus referred to in Luke 10:18 NLT when Jesus said, “Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning!

In other Bible versions of Isaiah 14:12 they refer to Lucifer with other names, such as "O shining star, son of the morning" in the NLT Bible or "O Day Star, son of Dawn! in the ESV Bible.

These variations are a result of differences of opinion about how to translate the Hebrew word helel. Regardless, the description of the one referred to shows us it can be none other than Satan. We know from Jesus' own words in Luke 10 that Satan fell from heaven. So, when Isaiah refers to Lucifer or helel being cast down to earth (Isaiah 14:12), it can be none other than Satan.

Verses 13 and 14 gives us the reason for his fall.

We read in Scripture, "For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High."---Isaiah 14:13-14 NLT

Satan has always had a desire to be God, and it is the very temptation he used in the Garden of Eden to get Eve to disobey God: "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."--Genesis 3:5 ESV

Then there is the passage from Ezekiel 28 that is referring to Lucifer/Satan. When reading this passage it becomes vividly clear that the passage is referring to the power behind the evil idolatrous king of Tyre---Satan.

We read in verse 13, "You were in Eden, the garden of God."---Ezekiel 28:13 NLT

We know that the king of Tyre was never in Eden.

We read in verse 14, "I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian."---Ezekiel 28:14 NLT

Lucifer/Satan had a position of guardian angel in heaven. Since the king of Tyre was never in heaven, either, this can only be describing Lucifer. The rest of the passage describes the reason he was cast out of heaven. Click on link below to read the rest of the passage.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+28:13-17&version=NLT

This casting out and fall from heaven was witnessed by our Lord Jesus in heaven before His incarnation.
We can therefore conclude that Lucifer and Satan are one and the same.

Sorry but you're so so wrong. The Old Testament does not say God created both evil and good. God did not create evil, but He does allow evil.

If God had not allowed for the possibility of evil, both mankind and angels would be serving God out of obligation, not choice. He did not want “robots” that simply did what He wanted them to do because of their “programming.” God allowed for the possibility of evil so that we could genuinely have a free will and choose whether or not we wanted to serve Him.

Not true, in Christianity Satan is indeed under the control of God. Satan may be given the title of "god of this world" but this is not to say that he rules the world completely; God is still sovereign.

But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him. When the Bible says Satan has power over the world, we must remember that God has given him domain over unbelievers only. Believers are no longer under the rule of Satan (Colossians 1:13). Unbelievers, on the other hand, are caught "in the snare of the devil" (2 Timothy 2:26), lie in the "power of the evil one" (1 John 5:19), and are in bondage to Satan (Ephesians 2:2).

So, when the Bible says that Satan is the "god of this world," it is not saying that he has ultimate authority. It is conveying the idea that Satan rules over the unbelieving world in a specific way. In 2 Corinthians 4:4, the unbeliever follows Satan's agenda: "The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ." Satan's scheme includes promoting false philosophies in the world—philosophies that blind the unbeliever to the truth of the Gospel. Satan’s philosophies are the fortresses in which people are imprisoned, and they must be set free by Christ.

An example of one such false philosophy is the belief that man can earn God's favor by a certain act or acts. In almost every false religion, meriting God’s favor or earning eternal life is a predominant theme. Earning salvation by works, however, is contrary to biblical revelation. Man cannot work to earn God's favor; eternal life is a free gift (see Ephesians 2:8-9). And that free gift is available through Jesus Christ and Him alone (John 3:16; 14:6). You may ask why mankind does not simply receive the free gift of salvation (John 1:12). The answer is that Satan—the god of this world—has tempted mankind to follow his pride instead. Satan sets the agenda, the unbelieving world follows, and mankind continues to be deceived. It is no wonder that Scripture calls Satan a liar (John 8:44).

Well let me give you a thorough explanation of what is Christianity and what do Christians believe from my favorite Christian web-site:

The core beliefs of Christianity are summarized in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, was resurrected, and thereby offers salvation to all who will receive Him in faith. Unique among all other faiths, Christianity is more about a relationship than religious practices. Instead of adhering to a list of “do’s and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close walk with God. That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Beyond these core beliefs, there are many other items that are, or at least should be, indicative of what Christianity is and what Christianity believes. Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired, “God-breathed” Word of God and that its teaching is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). Christians believe in one God that exists in three persons—the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

Christians believe that mankind was created specifically to have a relationship with God, but sin separates all men from God (Romans 3:23; 5:12). Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ walked this earth, fully God, and yet fully man (Philippians 2:6-11), and died on the cross. Christians believe that after His death, Christ was buried, He rose again, and now lives at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for the believers forever (Hebrews 7:25). Christianity proclaims that Jesus’ death on the cross was sufficient to completely pay the sin debt owed by all men and this is what restores the broken relationship between God and man (Hebrews 9:11-14; 10:10; Romans 5:8; 6:23).

Christianity teaches that in order to be saved and be granted entrance into heaven after death, one must place one’s faith entirely in the finished work of Christ on the cross. If we believe that Christ died in our place and paid the price of our own sins, and rose again, then we are saved. There is nothing that anyone can do to earn salvation. We cannot be “good enough” to please God on our own, because we are all sinners (Isaiah 53:6; 64:6-7). There is nothing more to be done, because Christ has done all the work! When He was on the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), meaning that the work of redemption was completed.

According to Christianity, salvation is freedom from the old sin nature and freedom to pursue a right relationship with God. Where we were once slaves to sin, we are now slaves to Christ (Romans 6:15-22). As long as believers live on this earth in their sinful bodies, they will engage in a constant struggle with sin. However, Christians can have victory in the struggle with sin by studying and applying God’s Word in their lives and being controlled by the Holy Spirit—that is, submitting to the Spirit’s leading in everyday circumstances.

So, while many religious systems require that a person do or not do certain things, Christianity is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for our own sins and rose again. Our sin debt is paid and we can have fellowship with God. We can have victory over our sin nature and walk in fellowship and obedience with God. That is true biblical Christianity.

So you reckon the KJV got its translation of Isaiah 45:7 wrong?

"I form the light, and create darkness:

I make peace, and create evil:

I the Lord do all these things."

That is what you read into the Bible, because that is what you were told is in there. I - a Christian - agree with a lot, but not with all you read into it. For example: When 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21 were written, the Bible wasn’t even canonized yet. They referred to the Hebrew Bible, probably in answer to Marcion-like heresies, but certainly not to the New Testament we have today.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here....what is to be overcome is not Satan, but the "satan" (obstacle) in our path?...so in otherwords Satan...right?

So in Judaism you're saying God purposely put an obstacle (Satan) in our path...sorry but I don't think you understand Judaism at all. Click on the link below maybe that will help you to understand Judaism and its main differences from Christianity.

    http://www.gotquestions.org/Judaism.html

Nope...that's not it. What compels you to make a false statement?...never mind no need to answer cause I already know the answer.

Perhaps, but that in no way means the 10 Commandments came from
    it.

Study it again. I have, and Lucifer and Satan are not the same. You're looking at the King James version which the majority of scholars now agree is wrong. A lot of New Biblical versions acknowledge this fact. They do not mention Lucifer. This just proves the errancy of the Bible.

Ezekiel is full of Picture language. You've extracted one verse from the whole context of the chapter which is about the King of Tyre. If this was Lucifer explain verse 19 'You have come to a horrible end and will be no more.' According to you Lucifer still exists

Believe what you will. My trust is in MY studies, not others - though they may come to the same conclusion.

No! You only mentioned two words. That does not give an information of where you obtained the information. It does not name a specific document or set of documents or even where the name of samael was used in reference to the 'Bible'.

Too many things to allow for me to place them all in one writing on this limited forum ... some of those things would be over the head of non-theists anyway.... because those things are spiritually discerned. Yeppir, I tell it like it is. If you don't like that, then Oh Well.

. Who forms light and creates darkness, Who makes peace and creates evil; I am the Lord, Who makes all these.
From the Hebrew Tanakh Yeshaiyah (Isaiah) 45:7.

All your post does is give the Christian interpretation of the Tanakh, and, as in many cases, it is wrong.

The christian (western) idea of good and evil in conflict is not in Jewish (eastern) thought. Paul 'westernised' Christianity.

Your website tells me nothing I haven't known for many years.

In Judaism "satan" is not a sentient being but a metaphor for the evil inclination – the yetzer hara – that exists in every person and tempts us to do wrong.

    Any help? What false statement?

When you reference (western)... can you please elaborate on where that 'western' begins and ends? When did Christianity become a directional thing?

Below is a thorough explanation from my favorite Christian web-site regarding Isaiah 45:7.

Isaiah 45:7 in the King James Version reads, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” How does Isaiah 45:7 agree with the view that God did not create evil? There are two key facts that need to be considered. (1) The word translated “evil” is from a Hebrew word that means “adversity, affliction, calamity, distress, misery.” Notice how the other major English Bible translations render the word: “disaster” (NIV, HCSB), “calamity” (NKJV, NAS, ESV), and “woe” (NRSV). The Hebrew word can refer to moral evil, and often does have this meaning in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, due to the diversity of possible definitions, it is unwise to assume that “I create evil” in Isaiah 45:7 refers to God bringing moral evil into existence.

    (2) The context of Isaiah 45:7 makes it clear that something other than “bringing moral evil into existence” is in mind. The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing Israel for disobedience. God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Master” (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings “evil” and “disaster.” So, rather than saying that God created “moral evil,” Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture – that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him.

That's just your opinion that the Christian interpretation is wrong, furthermore these threads of mine are about the Christian faith and not Judaism. And so of course you're going to get a Christian interpretation from me since I'm a practicing Christian.

If you don't like it why don't you go ahead and start a thread dealing with Judaism. These threads are strictly concerning Christianity. It is not about Judaism, Islamism, Buddhism or whatever isms are out there.

Western idea? You don't know what you're saying. Paul didn't westernized anything. Paul was an Apostle to the Gentiles who was sent out to perform this special mission by God.

Again these threads concerns the Christian faith, what conflict the Jewish (eastern) thought has with Christianity is not a concern of mine if it is with you again like I said go start your own thread dealing with Judaism.

LOL what a cop out as expected followed by the hilarious claim that "non theists" will not understand .. classic run and hide.

Tell it like it is ? You are afraid to list even one thing that the Holy Spirit has told you about scripture.

I suppose you would feel it to be more appropriate for me to use one liners to totally list and irrefutably express those things. That would provide you with a great opportunity to dissect what I stated and turn it inside out. Not happening. Play your little game of entrapment elsewhere or with someone else.

Of course, different words are interpreted, misinterpreted, mistranslated. But God did create everything. Yes?

Yes. I reckon he does. He uses a bible with errors for his version. Out of print also, due to errors.
