Wow, are you so uninformed that you can't figure out that the real issue is about calling a fetus a child. The issue is about when human life begins and about woman's right versus fetus rights. The need to call a multiple cell organism a child is just emotional blackmail rather than science.

And of course the other thing the thread is about is your obvious need to try to ascribe the views of a few very fringe liberals to anyone who has a different view from yours. It is sort of like claiming because a few antiabortion advocates who are for killing doctors who perform abortions represent the views of all Conservatives. That type of discussion tactic is usually practiced by people whose depth of knowledge on the actual issues and whose ability to see opposing viewpoints is so limited that all they can do is resort to exaggerating the positions of people with a different viewpoint.

 

There are no "abortion advocacy groups." The recognition that abortion is necessary in some cases is not the same as abortion advocacy. WHO is a well-respected and highly credible humanitarian organization, and its findings, published in The Lancet in 2012, are widely accepted as accurate.
