Are Scantly Dressed Women Sending The Wrong Message?

Is the impression you make the impression they take? And if you send "that" message, should you be able to complain about the "rape culture" that some claim to exist in America without sounding like a hypocrite? Are scantly dressed women part of the problem?

It might be something deeper than that. Maybe it is one of those manifestations of differences between liberal and conservative brains. For instance what gives a guy the right to think that just because a woman turns him on he has the right to have sex with her? That is the justification for Muslim women wearing the garb they do - because the men can't control thenselves. Also, seems that men who justify rape also oppose abortion. Thus a bottom feeder personality is exposed.

Watch and see. Any posters who come on here and defend the idea that it is a woman's fault for being raped because of the way she dresses the poster will most certainly be a conservative.

 

Depends on the context, I guess. The ones at the club are doing it for attention. Because if you ignored them completely when they were dressed that way, they'd actually be even angrier.

The ones that strip down to next to nothing and write "still not asking for it" on their bodies and march around in the streets in protest have about as much sense as a guy in an Armani suit with a Rolex and hundred dollar bills falling out of his pockets strutting through the ghetto proudly proclaiming, "Still not asking for it!" You may not deserve for anything bad to happen to you. But you've got to be pretty stupid not to recognize that you are very actively inviting the thing you do not want. You are essentially putting out bait for bad people. Why on earth would you do that? Just to have the moral high ground of saying, "Look at me! I got victimized! Feel sorry for me! I am righteous!" This kind of behavior is only celebrated in societies that determine value according to pity.

Watch and see. Everytime one of these types of threads come up it is conservatives who back the rapist. After all it is those darn feminists that won't let, um real men act like real men.

Depending upon the guys mentality, for some of them, they do get the wrong message.....

I raised 2 lovely girls and they weren't allowed to wear skin-tight, revealing clothes and I talked to t hem about the impression that type of clothing would have on other people. They understood and today, they still wear clothing that's attractive, but not revealing....

My girls are smart and even as teens, they knew they were responsible for their appearance and behavior......

And if a teen/woman says "NO", she means "NO".......

 

Rape is not about sexual attraction, but about power. A woman could be walking down the street naked and that is not an invitation to just walk up and stick it in...

Why has this turned into a discussion of rape? It's about wearing a whores uniform and in case youbdidnt know whores don't work to getcraped, they charge and its agreed upon. That said,

Whores need to consent too. If you think women dressing like "whores" justifies rape-culture, the problem is still you.

 

there is no justification for raping someone... however, if you dress like a whore, and I enjoy looking at you like a whore, don't condemn me for staring at you like a whore... if you don't want to be objectified, don't objectify yourself... but ultimately, there is no reason any woman can't dress like a whore, and they should never be raped because...

I've no idea. All sorts of different people wear all sorts of different clothes but that's their own business.

The point is that they could be buck-naked and carrying a box of condoms, they're still not justifying rape culture.
