Are Scantly Dressed Women Sending The Wrong Message?

Are they dressing like whores or is that just your opinion. Let's put this into perspective. I'm a good looking man who is in about the best possible fitness for a man my age. As a consequence I regularly wear clothing that reveals what I have. There is a certain thrill in the attention. But that doesn't mean I want some ugly fat pig with an awful personality coming over and rubbing up against me.

 

Excuse me, you are confused ..... extremist MUSLIMS KILL at will.......THAT is extremist.....wearing a miniskirt isn't...

 

Chappelle, of course, wasn't talking about rape, just the confusion that people experience when confronted by someone who looks like one thing but is, in fact, another.

He certainly wasn't suggesting blaming the victim or justifying treating people in a way they don't want to be treated, only pointing out how confusing that can be made if the only thing someone knows about you is how you dress.

He even specifically mentions that how you dress doesn't determine who you are. Just pointing out the humor of having expectations for treatment outside of how you present yourself. At least that's what I got out of it.

 

I'm sure you think if a woman doesn't wear robes from the top of her head to her toes she's dressed like a whore..

Frankly, I don't see these scantily clad women in my everyday life. Even going to the Mall during Christmas shopping I don't see them. I see women rather conservatively dressed and MOST I would NOT want to see with any less clothing.

Everytime a popular professional athlete is charged with rape or domestic violence there is always a cry from their fans (mostly conservative men) that somehow the woman and the so-called iberal medidia aren't being fair. Men should indeed practice self control. So should women. Don't want attention from strange men at a night club, especially the creepy rape variety? Don't dress like if I bought you a drink and told you were pretty that you'd want to go (*)(*)(*)(*) in the bathroom. Also don't accept a drink you haven't been watching over. Maybe learn a little self defense or carry a weapon.

To draw a parallel:yes gang members should exercise some control and not shoot into crowds. However people should a)avoid gang areas, b) report their activity, c).stay on the look out while in a gang area, and d) arm themselves for protection.
