I didn't link to a blog. I gave you the federal statute which states in plain English under 18 can't possess handguns.

Nowhere in the statute do the words you wrote appear.

I didn't write them, I C&P'd them from that ATF blog that you linked to in post #622.

ok, I went to the site posted in 622......
What I'm seeing a regulation issued by the ATF, not a federal statute passed by Congress.....these alphabet agencies are notorious for enacting their own rules and regulations which, by it's design, is unconstitutional and not a law. but regulations. The question is how enforceable is it as a regulation? Does it have the true force of law? Well, it might, until you stand in front of a judge.
However, that being said, I know of any federal law (passed statute) that bans possession or ownership of handguns by under 18 year olds and younger. However, State laws will vary since they are the ones really codifying firearm laws.

The youth handgun safety act is part of the 1968 gun control act. It is not an ATF regulation, it is federal law.

The numbers weren't from 2014. I cited my sources. My point is not justifying what happened. It is just explaining that you (as a community) can create an adversarial relationship with the police in your district. This tends to put cops on edge that's all. Police, and the populous both lose.

The only one that benefits from these types of shootings are Al Sharpton, and Obama.

I mostly agree with your last line. There are more, but that slimeball Sharpton is always at the head of the line.

So, you want to blame present day officers being on edge from the entire history of on duty deaths? There is no epidemic of cop shootings in Ohio. Your statement gave that impression.

While escalation on both sides is almost a certainty in this current environment, do you think the first step should be to reign in the police force or hope that the public will let it go that police are not being held accountable for their actions against us?

they regulate it. It is their law. The fed gov has no authority to write unconstitutional laws. Are you saying they've [fed gov] has indeed passed such a law? If it has, it is unconstitutional because it cannot enact any restriction to the Bill of Rights. If it has, the fed gov has gone rogue. If not, then the ATF is lawless........which is it?

Have you not been following the news for the past few years? They are no longer a police force. They have become a militarized force on our soil. The citizens are already losing and the cops are doing nothing but pushing ahead. They kill and murder innocent people everyday now, it seems and only a handful even get charged. BTW, they are not here to protect you..... they are here to lord over you.

The Supreme Court disagrees. The federal government can regulate firearms, and even restrict certain classifications. They just can't outright ban firearms.

    Read DC v heller.

Every person who cares about the freedom and liberty guaranteed to the people by the US Constitution, of course.

That obviously doesn't include you, now does it, TP Tom?

The Constitution never mentions a stupid brat playing with a realistic looking toy gun.

next time you get stopped by cop, who is unqualified to be a cop, and he shoots you, you can ask them that very question.

It mentions due process. That boy's life was taken without due process of law. It is a clear cut case of murder.

People who defend murderous pigs are scumbags.

And how am I to determine if this cop is unqualified to be a cop? Where are YOUR criteria for this ridiculous notion?
If a cop uses his sidearm to defend himself from deadly force, does that make him unqualified?

Unlike SOME dumb fcks, I don't intend to wave a realistic looking toy gun at a cop any time soon. I'm not an effing IDIOT.

What if that gun had been real? What if this little idiot had just killed someone? What about the due process rights of his victim?
This is an example of what happens when you act like a thug. You sometimes get your asss shot.
The kid brought it all on himself.

Totally off-topic. The cop was not in any way shape or form threatened by deadly force. Nor was he even threatened, period.

What if that old lady crossing the street might be Osama Bin Laden in disguise? Should I run her over?

Who do you think is training these police forces? Who do you think is teaching them to not hesitate no matter how they encounter?
