Are most Christians cowards?

So it appears that the thread titled "Are most Christians bisexual?" has been successfully deleted. Several self-identified Christians noted that they were reporting the thread. Yet the thread, during its short life, did spark some very high-quality discussions. I wonder if a better course of action would be one of the following: 1) ignore the thread and let it die off on its own; 2) refute the OP with factual dialog. But instead some would rather just not have the discussion at all -- not unlike those who write angry letters to the TV networks when there are homosexuals portrayed in a positive light, or when a nipple slips out of a dance costume for three seconds.

So, I ask you, Christians: what are you afraid of?

Because anyone who was capable of objective standards and civility would have realized that the defense of such an absurd premise would have required something with a little more intellectual substance and validity than asking people about their private sex lives as if that would be an appropriate venue to discuss OBJECTIVE sceintific discussion.

Who cares if atheists could not even demonstrate how such a private request met the standard of 'science' or even general relevance? (Of course, he now accusses an entire religion of cowardace for first standing up this nonesense - for which he remains blind to - and then for have done what he can not and will not - so best to flame bait people and question and entire religion integrity). Whe do people choose atheism? Believe that acting like a bone head is a good thing?

Even more worrisome, you started a thread about people who will not defend something, and, not only are you not defending something, you clearly just want to get personal - which got the first thread closed.

I was surprised to see that obvious troll thread run as long as it did.

It started out as Flame bait but did get interesting, just as 'discussion of the navel' is also interesting. (How ppl on this forum can bloviate for so long on a single thread still amazes me!).

But just my one line answer to the OP question has nothing to do with the previous thread, but to the base question:

Yes, many American Christians (those who 'label themselves' as such) are cowards, but for being wishy-washy and not taking outward stands on the words of their founder of whom they claim to follow. Lazy Christianity and ignorance of the scriptures and the Spirit behind them is the soup de jour for the 'American Christian.' Persecution (more than just vain attack verbiage) is what caused the church to prosper....identifying with the sufferings of Christ to the point of death.
