these guys are nothing but comedians that can deliver a witty response to political issues

none have held public office ..Maher did graduate college, but self admittingly was a pot dealer during those years

and sadly , a comedian like Joe Rogan has more influence than almost any politician..

the main reason podcasters have become so popular is because of the trend of head/ear phones

I used to listen to Rogan, but his podcast has become nothing more than white noise..

Those women waited until an opportune moment arose. All four of them. I doubt they were raped or surely the police would have been involved at the time. They have no credibility.

The fact is that he has been accused.

I believe the BBC started this with their own internal enquiry, that has now been handed over to the police. Why are you opposed to an organization taking action based on an internal investigation?

 

Very little on the BBC would have been Brand's "dissent", it would be comedy and light entertainment.

 

The only "me too" women I respect and whom holds credibility is Taylor Swift and Ambra Battilana Gutierrez.

 

At this moment, according to Common Law, he is innocent. What possible valid interest could people have to state otherwise?

 

it's always a tough case when someone claims something happened so long ago

if one is a rape victim, the best thing they can do is call the police and get a rape kit..... it makes the case much much stronger

 

He is not guilty as far as a criminal court is concerned. But as we saw with Bud Light, the public judges things other than guilt or innocence before a criminal court. And if the BBC doesn’t want to be associated with him any more … that’s their call.

The problem here is that we have now seen 100s of smear jobs by the power elite against ANY person that threatens or criticizes them. Russell Brand's cancellation has nothing to do with anything he did years ago, it has to do with removing a threat to autocratic power.

 

This is ignorance. Many rapes go unreported because women are ashamed of being raped and it is sometimes difficult to prove even when reported immediately after the incident.

I’m not saying that we should accept these accusations at face value but to say we should reject them wholesale because they were not reported contemporaneously is dumb.

certain comedians have influenced people about vaccines, foreign policy, the economy. to space travel

one comedian, for years, denied the moon landing, now his podcast has 12 million listeners, another popular influencer named dave Chappell is a high school dropout...this is not to say he is not intelligent, but I suggest his opinions are not more important or valid than others or your own

and people now believe a comedian is smart and informed and educated, when most are none of these things

very few comedians are educated or qualified to have a valid opinion..

if a person wants comedy, why not just watch Marjori Green or Lauren Boebert or Ted Cruz

One of the women was treated at a rape crisis center, and she has provided the medical records to show for it.

 

Based upon how he presents himself this doesn't surprise me. But, at this point, they are allegations and need to be decided in a court of law. Until that time, the BBC has every right to eliminate him from their line up as even allegations could tarnish their 'brand'.
