I believe USSR killed Poles in Katyn otherwise it is an epic fail of Putin. But the questions remain. For example, why were Poles killed by German guns with German bullets? Why were their hands bonded with German ropes? Etc, etc, etc. But is this information absent in your textbooks, isn't it?

All nations are inevitably governed by an elite entrenched political class. Absent radical change every political class will eventually sacrifice the interests of any nation and its people to their own class interests. Unless the political class can be replaced or gelded it will eventually doom any nation.

What a load of stinking putrid Fecal Matter and BS. There were no Russians liked at Katyn. The people who where killed at Karyn by the Russian NKVD were officers and of the. Polish Army. You noticed thatvI said officers of the Polish Army I did not say Poles even though the majority of the officers of the Polish Army were Poles. Remember that Poland in the inter war years was heavily a multi cultural country and Poland had occupied Halychina - Western Ukraine. The Polish army contained Ukrainian and Jewish minorities. Furthermore Western Ukraine had sizable Polish and Jewish minorities and a good portion of the intellectuals and businessmen killed by the Russian NKVD were Jewish and Ukrainian along with Poles. The Russian NKVD also murdered Ukrainian priests and nuns at Katyn along with Ukrainian inter war nationalists.

You add all of those groups in with the Poles who were killed at Katyn by the Russian NKVD that does not leave much room for Russians.

So for anyone to claim that Russians were killed at Katyn is the same as pissing on the graves of all the decent good people who were murdered at Katyn.

Most of the Slavic countries committed atrocities; anybody who says different is just uniformed or lying. You aren't going to find many demographics of hapless saintly martyrs and victims in eastern European cultures and that goes for Poles, too. I don't have much sympathy for Poles or the Ukraine and Slavic populations; not many Germans, even Nazi supporters could stomach working at the death camps; none of them have any moral authority to be whining about Russians as far as their history goes. It's a case of reaping what you sow; brutal governments generate brutal sociopaths, and in the case of Slavic countries they were successful at creating far more than their shares of savage beasts on two legs, better at it than even the Nazis, who had to recruit many of their death camp guards from the Ukraine and Slavic populations; not many Germans, even Nazi supporters could stomach working at the death camps.

Note that it was a Russian government confession. Russian governments have often counted Ukrainians as Russians when they considered it expedient.

 

No, I didn't say 'only'. Where do you think I did? At the Operation Reinhardt camps the officers were Nazi Party members but the guards were largely Slavics, and so were the train guards. The Polish police assisted in keeping the Warsaw ghetto and many others sealed off so the Nazis could go in and round them up and either kill them on the spot or put them in the cattle cars. Polish villagers would line the roads and cheer when their Mayors would round up local Jews and march them off to death.
