No extra charge for the coverage. The insurance company can still charge for copay's, just as they do for other types of prescription medication.

Who's asking for something for nothing? All that's being asked here is that prescription birth control be covered like other prescription medication. These women pay thousands for this health care coverage that covers medication they will never use. All they are asking is for prescriptions they do use to be covered as well. I really don't see what's terrible about that or how that equates to wanting free stuff.

 

I'm beginning to think you have never actually read Fluke's testimony. She states that one of the problems is that many women's clinics are unable to meet the high volume of patients requesting their services. And with certain people trying to pull funding from clinics like planned parenthood, that problem will only get worse.

Yes. But the contraception itself has been mandated by Sibellius and Obama for free.

I get several medications every month. Not a one of them are free. We would all love free stuff. But someone at some point has to pay for the "free" stuff that
Obama wants to provide.
The basic point still remains: Why am I expected to pay for Fluke's contraception? How is that fair? Why can't she pay her own way?

He means what he say (and gets away with it as joking) I'd bet on 90% of the time.

Hmm...a stand-up comedy acts often make such extremely controversial statements. The audience isn't supposed to take them seriously. We're supposed to assume the comedian doesn't honestly believe the things he or she is saying.

Rush Limbaugh, although often described as an entertainer, has an audience who does seem to take his ideas pretty seriously.

We'd all do a lot better for ourselves if we simply stopped taking these people so seriously.

That said, if I were Maher's agent, or his lawyer, or his wife, or his best buddy, or anyone with even the slightest trace of intelligence, I'd suggest he not try to defend his actions. Just shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up until this (*)(*)(*)(*) blows over. Unless his plan was to say, "Hey, I'm a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bag. Limbaugh's a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bag. What did you folks expect?"

That, in my mind, would be a reasonable defense--laudable even.

LOL, I no longer live in Texas if that was a dig. Beck was on the strange side how he had to explain every aspect of his "theories." Almost like MSNBC I watch an listen to every biased news source. The only issue is the money if Obama super-pact had refused the donation based on his concern for his daughters.
