No, Im not couching anything. If you want to use 'forsake' thats fine. If you want to use 'lose', that is also fine. Again, Im not sidestepping anything. I am simply placing the 'will' in its proper place as far as salvation is concerned.

Well, the person is locked into salvation once they believe.

    To stmichael

Why do you make my posts appear as you are the author?

Its not a tactic. I have used Scripture. I haven't seen you use anything to refute it. Maybe that's why you want credit for my posts.

Really? How did that happen? If God's respect for the free will of man, if His desire to be worshipped, served, and loved freely without any cohersion has somehow changed after conversion, I'd sure like you to demonstrate that. Demonstrate for me, please, that God is not unchanging as Hebrews 13:8 would indicate, but that he actually changes his very character once somebody has converted. I await patiently.

Your the one claiming 'free will', not me. I have told you. Just like with Peter in Matt. 16. God opens their eyes to it. They believe.

Sorry, I just caught you in your game. Very disingenuous. If not dishonest.

How am I quoting somebody else's work IN YOUR POST which you posted? When you click on quote, make sure there isn't another quotation thrown in there. I don't know why the system is doing that but it's an error on politicalforum's part.

Not with you if you keep falsifying the posts. Is this your excuse to leave. I guess you needed something.

The last tactic of a true chump, claim victory when you've lost the debate. That's your decision. Don't think anybody's fooled by you focusing on some glitch in the system as your excuse to digress. If your next post gets us back into the discussion, I'm game. If you want to continue playing semantics, I'm not wasting any more time with you.

Before i became a Christian, i always thought about so many were hypocrites. I never really met a true Christian before i went to church. But, yes i also met some of the hypocrites i wondered about! We don't go to church now, and sometimes i feel bad about it, but we couldn't find a church that we really felt comfortable with. I wanted a Bible teaching church, and so many now don't teach the whole Bible....they teach what people want to hear. Like that joke that goes around...."Belonging to a Church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car".

I don't mean to break into your conversation, but I would encourage you to find a church. There are some good ones there. We as Christians need to meet with other Christians. It is the way the Holy Spirit ministers to us, one to another. I am speaking to myself usually in this matter. When I dont meet with other believers both I and they are affected.

The problem is evident. Its not an imagination.

Don't you hate refrees. If you didn't have time to read, then why are you playing the role of peacemaker.

I agree with Quantrill. There will always be hypocrits in the church, and going to church will always put you at risk of being hurt and betrayed, but it's still better than the alternative. Don't seek perfection from a church because it's ran by people. If you feel that certain parts of scripture are being neglected, then supplement your faith through other ministries as well. It's God's mysterious will to work his way through imperfect people; to work in our lives using even the hypocrits. But we have to show up for it to happen. No, going to church doesn't make you a Christian, but Christians go to church. Remember Hebrews 10:25. I hope you'll consider it.

Lol, look at your post you have misplaced [/quote]

I am not for peace but for a good fight. You keep on going off track. about 12 posts have contributed nothing to the fight.

You see, Quantrill? It's a glitch in the system. Now will you get off my back about it?

No its no glitch. Its the way you quoted posts. Just because inquisitor wants to do the same to prove something, proves nothing.

For years I have been going to a Church when consifdering the Pastor to be quite a hypocrite in some aspects. Yet it did not bother to some of common prayers to G-d to be answered... That's why I am telling you, cool down.
