Its crazy to think that a nation of Loyalists could merge with a nation of Rebels. Even in this day and age. Two countries of the same birth but separate loyalties are two countries.

Highly unlikey to have a Canada and USA. In Canada, the government still has some power over the corporations and the media spin propaganda. In the USA that is not the case, and corporations and media run the country. Or they just take from it.

Canada is too smart to allow their country to be taken over by capital mogules who will rape them for all the money power and wealth they have.

That is the same reason PR is not a 51st state. They do not like to pay for wars that isreal wants paid for.

I used to think that once the USA got its sh!t together, we should invite the provinces of Canada to join us as states. Unfortunately, we've since gone from circling the drain to finally going down it. I now think that individual states should secede while they can and ask to join Canada. :omg:

    And they are again.
Both are taken over by the same Brits (look at the British names in politics and media)
They have masterminded everything (to gain power and control over the system) before you think about it, their North American Union idea.

Good obesrvation. Western part of Cnada has been populated with a lot of Chinese people since the railroad days of the mid 1800s. Some call it Hong Kong.

Much like Califrisco's Long Beach in LA is the ellis island of the West coast.

Angel Island in San Francisco Bay was also a landing spot for Chinese immigrants in the 19th century.

    That's pretty good. :)

What do you call a Canadian with a black eye? Someone who doesn't know how to listen.

What do you call a Canadian with two black eyes? Someone who can't hear.

I have a desire for the United States and Canada to join together. I see no reason why we shouldn't.

What's the advantage of that? Right now, I'm not seeing that for either country.

    Neither am I.

Why would we want to lower our standards and way of life for the sake of misguided unity?

For the U.S., it's oil. If the U.S. wants oil bad enough, Canada has the benefit of not getting invaded by the U.S. This is not likely, but can you guarantee that U.S.-Canadian relations will always be friendly? There's a couple pipelines being built, and it looks like the oil is being shipped to China. There could be military advantages as well. Canada has a very good military, but it is small. The U.S. and Canada usually fight wars together, so I think it would be advantageous to integrate them.
