    Good guys with guns were not allowed in the bar. When guns are banned by law it follows that the only ones who will be armed are the bad guys.

    I don't think more guns translates to more incidents like this one and more bans do not and will not prevent them.

    You cannot demonstrate the necessary relationship between the gun laws you cite and the "huge" effect you claim.

    I think we need to get away from the argument of guns vs knives argument. The real issue is what motivated the perp, the grandson of a Califonia Assemblyman, in a county that has been described as "anti-gay" to do this act. It is not "mental health" so far, and that should be the focus.

    My local Pizza Hut serves beer - I should not be able to carry there?

    It is generally illegal to drink and carry a gun.
    So... what's wrong with people legally carrying in a place that serves alcohol?

    This town is full of veterans as well as active duty military. A large army base, two AFBs, and the AF academy. I think it's why we had no masked gun toters at our ballot drop off boxes.
