I don't believe it but let's assume the studies are correct - that suicide rate decreases after surgery. What about the population of victims that regret the surgery later in life? How do you think that group compares the group that averted suicide? Does it even enter your calculus? It should. And I'll tell you this, the group that receives and regrets the life altering surgery will continue to grow - you can be certain of that (for obvious reasons).

 

I'm not the one trying to justify doing this to children.

Another thing I thought of.
The anti-trans medical for minors groups/people have been calling for the parents of the children treated with blockers/hormone therapy and certainly surgery to be charged with child abuse.
That is until cases like these 2 arrived and now the parents all of a sudden are victims and not the abusers.

I think that is where medical professionals step in, generally — from my understanding, surgery is the absolute last step after years of treatment and pharmaceutical interventions that have all failed. We definitely don’t need to get to a point where a child says something and they are immediately treated but also don’t need to get to a place where children feel the only way out is suicide because all other avenues have been removed from armchair doctors that got their medical degree from fox and friends.

 

Please show documented proof backing up your claim.

Not how we can answer their questions and typically try and do so in good faith with medically backed studies while they refuse to answer even basic questions and only respond with personal insults and elementary reasoning.
