It's not moot when you claim I promote "N100 masks" (they're respirators) "as the be all and end all" and dismiss my information on covid vaccines. I don't think "masks" are all we should do.
They aren't going to wear them properly. Do you need a list of reasons why they won't? Many won't socially distance, either. High quality PPE is part if a practical and inexpensive way we could have helped save lives.
N100 and P100 respirators are an even better way of saving lives.
We could have used government power to force manufacturers to license their respirator production. High quality PPE could have been supplied first to the people who need it most.
    You'll never know.
He could wear PAPR. How many skilled nursing nursing patients could have worn PAPR and had a chance to see their families? Are the pols so stupid they can't make an issue of it? Units are available with hoses that could have brought in air from outside?
You do that. I understand what well what you said: "You keep pushing your N100 mask as the be all and end all but are ignoring research, real world numbers, and trying to state masks don’t work."

If masks worked you would have seen orange barrels all over the place with fancy lids and bio-hazard symbols on them saying- "Mask Disposal".

You wouldn't just take a mask you spat viruses into and put it into your pocket for next time, would you?

    Most people did.

    Yup, I saw that too.

For work, I did the mask below the nose thing just to say that I was "wearing one", and it was a mesh mask. (and I only did that much because my employer required it because it was mandated by the county -- and was also illegally mandated by Tyrant Tony Evers for a time). In stores, I was often the lone person who was not wearing a mask... sometimes there were some others who didn't, but most were too afraid to take it off.

Read the first two comments you made abive (which repeat comments you made earlier)

Have I missed something? How do they not PUSH N100 masks?

However when I read MuchAdo's words and yours, with due respect MuchAdo was very clear what he said about masks and did not ever push N100 masks as a be all end all as you do as can be seen by your above words.

    So????????????????????????????

The whole intent of your responses is to accuse government and all kinds of people as being liars, masks other than certain ones, useless.

MuchAdo never came on this board to advocate the use of only one kind of mask and second guess and smear people-you did.

When I see the guy say he lied, I'll go with that. I saw him say it. If you want proof, you find it. I know what I saw and that's good enough for me.

Anyway, Fauci touting masks when he could have mentioned quality PPE--he knows he's misleading people.
You're way off base. I'm reporting what I saw with my own eyes. I think healthcare workers have been screwed by the government. Teachers, too. I read posts talking about schools should stay open because kids don't sick with covid, never mentioning that the average teacher is 40 years old. Grocery clerks are supposedly protected by plexiglass barriers. Where are types like Fauci advocating for the use of better PPE for these folks?
I provided what he said and noted a lot of what he hasn't said.
So, if I we to the bother of finding the clip of him admitting he didn't tell the truth, will you denounce his behavior? Does it make any difference to you? Does you care that he declared that people didn't need masks and then came out later and touted their use, all the while he new hospital staff were wearing high quality PPE and PAPR? Don't you see a problem with him not suggesting government use the Defense Production Act to ramp up the production of PPE over the objection of big PPE producers like 3M.
I dare you to supply evidence one thing I said is false. You won't, of course, because you don't have anything to back you up. The one comment I made that I haven't provided a clip for is Fauci's confession.
Your link doesn't work. Bing AI...

Q: What does Fauci say about high quality respirators for protection against covid?

A: "According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), they issued new guidance that urges Americans to wear the highest quality mask they can wear consistently and that fits well. Specifically, they classify the masks by level of protection. “Loosely woven cloth products provide the least protection, layered finely woven products offer more protection, well-fitting disposable surgical masks and KN95s offer even more protection, and well-fitting (National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety)-approved respirators (including N95s) offer the highest level of protection,” the CDC recommendations read. Many public health experts have been urging this change for months, including CNN Medical Analyst Dr. Leana Wen."

Q: Did Fauci admit government downplayed the importance of N95 masks?

A: Yes, Dr. Fauci admitted that the government downplayed the importance of N95 masks. He said that the reason for this was because they were concerned about the shortage of masks for healthcare workers.

I thought you were better than this. I guess I was wrong.
You can concern yourself with @MuchAdo's motives. I told the truth--sorry it upsets you.

I loved it when Der Leaders crawled out to act like they're experts, stuff their mask in their suit pocket, and when finished bloviating, virtue signal by putting it back on as they exit. Sometimes I wonder how a sentient being could take them seriously.

The vision of Biden with a black mask hanging off his right ear giving a speech on television comes to mind.

    A slimy personal attack. Congrats.

P.S. I don't mind when some folks put me on ignore. I can point out their BS without the vituperative blowback.

Well Langley does not hide his agenda. He is very up front about it. I totally disagree but he is blatant about his biases and no he won't change his mind because he genuinely believes people lied to him.

He reflects a distrust of authority that started with Richard Nixon and really entrenched itself after Trump's reign and appeal to his followers to distrust anyone who questions Trump. Its a cancer of distrust that is the direct result of Trump's effect on public discourse.

All I ask from both sides of the debate are no sweeping stereotypes or generalizations. I do not expect Langley to agree with me at all. Its his right. I just challenge the negative accusations accusing good people of lying.

Truth? How does cherry picking only certain articles establish a full accurate analysis of what Fauci actually stated? Why do you try isolate certain words and remove them from their full context and other words he stated? You do so to misrepresent what he actually said.

Next you smeared all government and the health profession as liars and fell back to trying to claim Fauci lied. How does that justify smearing everyone else.

I expect better from you than smearing an entire profession and millions of people as liars.

Next on this forum you pose opinions. To suggest I persecute you because you tell the "truth" is silly. You are not Jesus on the cross. You are no martyr for a cause. You like me are simply expressing opinions and positions.

Can we save the dramatic divine references to truth. You are no prophet and I am not Satan, although I turn red because I sun burn easy. Also when people call me horny they did not mean on my head.

    Have a nice day.

Now, that I established Fauci admitted he misled the public, are you prepared to walk back your claim?
I've run political campaigns and organized across political lines. Your armchair analysis of me reflects your unwillingness to examine your own bias.
All you ask is that people ignore pubic officials not telling the truth. Fauci admitted he downplayed the importance of quality PPE to keep people from snapping up N95s and better PPE. Apparently, you think that's okay, even to the appoint of attacking people who tell the truth.

    Evidence has become "cherrypicking?"
You're a wannabe press secretary? Fauci said he downplayed the value of quality PPE to keep it for the medical professionals.
I could cite dozens of posts from me defending health professionals when looney tunes conspiracy types on the forum say doctors are hiding the truth.
    Now, I'm smearing "everyone else?"
What profession did I smear? Political con artists? They're not a profession.
You may be "Death," but you're a lightweight compared to the Chicago-based waste management companies I was thwarting when chaired the organization opposing the $2b "sanitary landfill" (aka garbage dump) they were touting that would have covered two square miles in a suburban community. Chicago waste management companies are run by "bad guys" that are for real scary people.
You're not a well known Imaginary Fried who sits in judgment, either.

This was obvious by the haphazard way it was conducted.

During the big scare, I took a train from Denmark to Germany. Seat reservations were not only required but chosen by Danish Rail. You couldn't decide where you wanted to sit. Why? Because (as they told me) to avoid close contact with the other passengers. Note, that face masks were not required nor did many use them. The seat I was assigned was in a 4-seat facing configuration. That is to say that I sat next to a stranger and I faced other strangers in the two opposite seats:cynic:! When we reached the German border everyone had to put on face masks but that's another story.

You demanded proof Fauci lied. I provided it. But you had already made up BS about me trashing health care providers, a rather despicable smear for someone who pretends to look at matters objectively.

    Post #288 is particularly inappropriate.

Ignoring me? Great. I can comment on your posts without nasty blowback.

Seats facing (across a table?) are a great way of transmitting SARS-CoV-2. In that situation, the only way to seriously protect yourself is with a N100 or P100 respirator and goggles.
