There is no chance that an elective abortion would cause pain in the fetus since truly elective abortions are always done early in gestation, usually before 12 weeks. Later term abortions are done for medical reasons, they are quite rare, but sometimes necessary.

Abortion is not considered cruelty to animals.

I would like to live in a country that has respect for women's lives and protects their rights to live as they choose.

No, because there is no such thing as "pro-abortion." No where in this country is it ever required or even encouraged to have an abortion. Surely you know that "lifenews" cannot be considered an accurate source of information, and I seriously doubt any organized group is lobbying for doctors to be required to perform abortions, perhaps some exception would be made when the woman's life is threatened and no other doctor is available.

Well, yeah, it is one of the most painful experiences one can endure, and beyond that it changes a woman's life forever, FOREVER, even if she gives the baby up for adoption.

Women die when safe abortion is not available. Childbirth is fourteen times more likely to kill a woman than abortion. I am much more concerned about the safety of young women than I am about the possibility of female life.

Annad's so called research has been refuted and found to be unreliable.

Making laws on a "we don't know" basis is complete idiocy.

Born animals yes, just as there are for born humans.

    I do, don't you.

The usa also has some of the most restrictive laws - http://forwomen.org/topics/rights-dont-equal-access/?gclid=CKv63rvsscoCFcgYGwodmYEJig would you care to cite the number of elective abortions after 21 weeks please, as usual the pro-life propaganda machine is VERY selective on how it reports. The majority, if not all, abortions after 21 weeks are for life threats to the woman or foetal disability incompatible with life. Some of this disabilities can not even be diagnosed until after week 20, but hey in your world of forced birth that doesn't matter.

I 100% disagree that doctors should be forced to perform abortions or lose their licence, dishonest to pick one site and allude that all pro-choice people think the same.

Giving birth can be an extremely traumatic for some women, even resulting in death.

Seen this argument before and what it fails to consider is culture, there are still many cultures, including the ones in the article that place a higher value on a male than they do on a female, so again this is just selective reporting in order to further the pro-life propaganda machine.

I wouldn't bother indulging the poster as they are off topic in their own thread ... it's just a feeble attempt at distraction.

What a surprise anything that doesn't conform to your bias is dismissed without any real substance, a 49% minority neighbourhood IS a majority white neighbourhood, are figures a problem for you? ... here let me help, anything above 50% is a majority.

Nothing to refute as it erroneously attempts to compare abortion with deaths of actual persons and at the end of the day the number of abortions is exactly the number required by women of any race, let me know when you find PP personal rounding up pregnant female minorities and forcing them into clinics for abortions, until then you have nothing. Not a single American of any race dies in an abortion.

Your naked assertion just makes you look silly.

This is absolutely false! You should admit your error.

    http://www.nrlc.org/archive/abortion/facts/pbafacts.html

Check this out: • One week after this, the executive director of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers appeared on ABC's Nightline and stated that partial-birth abortions were done only in extreme situations of danger to a woman's life and fetal anomalies.[385] [386] [387]

    • Four months after this, the national policy director of Planned Parenthood testified to Congress: "The truth is that the procedure is only used when the woman's life or health is in danger or in cases of extreme fetal anomaly."[388]

    • Six months later, two doctors at a New Jersey abortion clinic spoke with a local newspaper under condition of anonymity. They independently stated that their clinic was performing roughly 1,500 partial-birth abortions per year, most of which are elective and not for medical reasons.[389] [390]

Many decisions are made despite imperfect understanding. Let's say some scientists thought a certain kind of animal testing was cruel and other scientists disagreed. It might be reasonable to give the animals the benefit of the doubt.

Are you saying even an unborn baby moments before birth has no rights?!

You seem unable to refute my statement: You know the U.S. has some of the most extreme pro-abortion laws in the world. Your link does not compare U.S. policy to other countries.

Of course birth results in life.

The abortion industry happily serves anti-female societies. The CCP and Indira Gandhi among others wanted depopulation so much they sacrificed millions of unborn baby girls.

The link I provided shows Liar Rose to be completely without credibility, tell me why should I believe anything a known liar says?

See for yourself, the complete list of refuted and debunked videos of Liar Rose - http://mediamatters.org/tags/live-action no doubt you will not even bother to look but simply dismiss them as "pro-abortion extremists" though I wish someone would point out these pro-abortion people as there are only pro-choice people here.

It is deceptive because a 49% minority neighborhood is disproportionately minority.

Lying to women isn't enough?! You serve racist elites who want to reduce populations the elite consider inconvenient. Didn't you know that?

    Check this out: http://news2.onlinenigeria.com/head...ael-forcibly-injected-with-birth-control.html

And I notice you still can't refute the chart based on CDC statistics.

You are off by tens of millions.

You really have no idea what a naked claim or assertion is do you?

Oh for God same PBA was banned in 2007 - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partial-Birth_Abortion_Ban_Act have you been living in a bubble.

There are those who do claim that animal testing is cruel and no not a single law has ever been passed on we don't know.

    Nope, none what so ever.

No need to refute it. BTW Stop cherry picking my responses and ignoring the things you cannot answer. Compared to Canada, the UK and a host of other countries USA abortion restrictions are severe. In Europe for example few countries have the 24 hour waiting period, or the parental consent obligation - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/6235557.stm

Birth does not always result in life and can in fact cause two deaths.

Ignoring the relevance of cultural influence is intellectually dishonest, the culture relevance in abortion for India and China is briefly highlighted here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/ethics/abortion/medical/infanticide_1.shtml

    Not true.

There's Katha Pollitt who seems to think abortion is great.

    Also: http://www.christianpost.com/news/a...se-babies-are-expensive-liberal-argues-99235/

    Not really.

Planned Parenthood clinic manager: I was directed to double the number of abortions our clinic performed in order to drive up revenue.

    link: http://www.lifenews.com/2011/04/05/...parenthood-business-model-all-about-abortion/

Obviously abortion can be traumatic too.

Consider this: Abortion Four Times Deadlier Than Childbirth

You have the right to be wrong.

    Link, please.

There is no chance a first trimester zef feels pain. None whatsoever.

Off topic, we are talking about fetal pain, not those with impaired cortical function.

Unborn animals? No. (that is the only relevant comparison)

I do live in such a country.

I do not live in the USA. My country has zero restrictions on abortion, as it should be.

Not going to lie news, I'd probably end up with a virus or a trojan.

For some, yes. Do you even have a uterus?

Bahahahahahahaha, too funny! There are many more born than there are aborted. No threat at all.

You still haven't shown proof that PP FORCED women to have abortions.......why not????? :)

    Old drool we've heard before:

"""Are you saying even an unborn baby moments before birth has no rights?!""

YES, it has rights. NO ONE, NO ONE said it didn't...................The fetus is protected after 23 weeks when it becomes viable. That is limited rights. Full rights as a PERSON come at birth.

The ridiculousness of anyone insisting that women would voluntarily go through 7-8 months of pregnancy just for the" fun" of having a late term abortion SHOULD be apparent to thinking people.

Canada has NO abortion laws and their abortion rate is actually slightly lower than the US.

Only that PP lies to women.

    Actually Fugazi did. See above.

Okay but why viability? People who are dependent on others can be disposed of?

    straw man

    Could be for many reasons.

Back up your claims with reliable links, that is, not "lifenews" or other pro-life sites, or admit failure to prove your position.

    OP links failed scrutiny.

Family Research Council has an ant-rights agenda.

None of the sources provided are unbiased therefore the science is not accurately presented.

Unconstitutional denial of individual rights by those states will ultimately be overturned. (Same thing happened with attempts to ban gay marriage.)

    - - - Updated - - -

The Family Research Council (FRC) has zero credibility.

    - - - Updated - - -

Only a racist would see race in those statistics instead of just those less fortunate than others.

This entire thread is based upon the fallacy that the fetus can feel pain.

Even if it that were possible it doesn't happen!

    Why not?

    Because anesthetics are used!

Even just a local anesthetic will numb the fetus to any possible pain.

    https://familyplanningspecialists.com/abortion-services/1st-trimester-abortion-4-6-12-weeks/

So no fetal pain is even possible during an abortion because of the procedures involved.

Native - a person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not.

They aren't accurate Grannie, its just another pro-life propaganda tool taking advantage of the fact that abortion rates have been declining since 1991 .. if pro-life laws were responsible for decreases then we should have seen a far greater decrease than the 2.6% that occurred after 2009 which is when the majority of restrictions were put into place, as the graphs I supplied show it simply didn't happen at any greater rate than has been seen on average since 1991. The greatest percentage decline occurred between 1991 and 1996.

Pro-lifers cannot even use the excuse of declining abortions being due to an increase in pro-life feelings as the percentile split has changed little since Roe, one of the biggest probably reasons for the abortion decline is that fewer teens are getting pregnant (a 34% decline), while figures show an increase in contraception usage among the 15-19 age bracket, with many using multiply contraceptives at the same time.
