Yes they may, guess what they do it by CHOICE and can at any time stop, by your logic that choice should be removed from them and the government should force them to do it .. after all that is what you advocate for pregnant women. question : Do you know the difference between biologically dependent and socially dependent?
I already provided evidence. Here's more: Do you acknowledge they are human life?
So killing off the poor is an act of charity?! What if a caretaker wanted to kill off an inconvenient dependent life? Should they have that right? Another interesting argument: Conception followed by eviction from the womb could be compared to capturing someone, placing him on an airplane, and then shoving him out without a parachute in mid-flight. We have no right to endanger others without their consent and then intentionally or negligently fail to protect them from the harm. Link: http://www.l4l.org/library/thomviol.html Another question: Is it really so horrible having a baby? Creating life brings great happiness to many women.
It makes sense for Democrats to be pro-life. "Our party has always been the voice of the powerless and the voiceless. They have been our natural constituency. Let us add to this list the most powerless and voiceless member of the human family: the unborn child. We have an obligation to protect and promote the health and well-being of all mothers." - the late Robert Casey, Sr., former Governor of Pennsylvania
The abortion industry doesn't want an informed decision: According to a survey publicized in David Reardon’s book Aborted Women: Silent No more, out of 252 women who experienced post-abortion trauma: • 66% said their counselor’s advice was biased • 40 to 60% described themselves as not having been certain of their decision prior to counseling • 44% stated they were actively hoping to find an option other than abortion during counseling • 5% reported that they were encouraged to ask questions • 52 to 71% felt the questions were inadequately answered, sidestepped, or trivialized • 90% said they were not given enough information to make an informed decision • 83% said it was very likely that they would’ve chosen differently if they had not been so strongly encouraged to abort by others, including their abortion counselors • 95% of women who had abortions at Planned Parenthood said that their Planned Parenthood counselors gave “…little or no biological information about the fetus which the abortion would destroy”(2) From a review on the psychological effects of abortion by researcher Catherine Barnard who examined a number of different studies on abortion and informed consent: “Several empirical studies in the U.S. have indicated the deficiencies of current abortion counseling practices with the majority of respondents reporting insufficient information provided by the abortion counselor; insensitive, unhelpful abortion clinic personnel, with respect to providing assistance in decision-making, and the provision of misinformation, thereby contributing to increased anxiety, confusion and levels of post-abortion depression and hostility.” The abortion industry is financially motivated to push abortion.
Protecting and promoting the health and well-being of all mothers would necessitate the availability of safe and affordable abortions. Women die when safe legal abortion is not available.
Providing medical care, affordable care, is an act of charity. Sometimes that includes abortion. It can save a woman's life or health. A caretaker can walk away leaving the care to another. Abortion enables a woman to walk away. Having a baby is one of the most painful experiences possible. It leaves a woman with damage to her body forever, many times requiring surgical repair. In spite of that 3/4 of all pregnancies are carried to term. Even of the unplanned pregnancies, approximately half are carried to term. Creating life does not ALWAYS bring great happiness to a woman, and when the woman knows it will not, it should be her choice for a safe legal abortion.
Warning: Link above is LIE-sitenews....the go to site for the Anti-Choice newbie. None of the numbers will be accurate but fun to poke at the ugly lies: : "According" to someone with no credentials in an obviously Anti-Choice book with only 252 women NONE of which had their PREVIOUS mental condition reported. Fine, it's a counselor not a ruler of their life. If the counselor was biased , ignore them. Uh, yes, that's why they had counseling !!!! Uh, YA, "hoping" means ??? What? Did they get options?? What EXACTLY does that statement prove? That's bad?????? WHAT!!!??? • Ya, many patients find that.....then they go somewhere else for answers. Can't believe it. Women know what "pregnant" and " abortion" mean. And it's sad that some people are so easily influenced but it is easier than just saying , "I decided".......again the numbers have to be suspect anyway.. What information??? All LIE-sitenews at it's worst......
You still persist with the biased links. David Reardon is well-known for his anti-abortion bias. His "studies" are methodologically flawed and designed to show abortion in a bad light. The largest abortion provider in this country is non-profit and also works to prevent abortion by providing birth control and sex education. There is no financial benefit to them to increase abortion numbers. They also receive NO government funding for abortion, so they must raise funds privately for those women who need financial assistance. The "Crisis Pregnancy Industry" however, is financially motivated to prevent abortions, as they are often connected to an adoption agency and receive big bucks for connecting a baby provider to the agency.
"""""The "Crisis Pregnancy Industry" however, is financially motivated to prevent abortions, as they are often connected to an adoption agency and receive big bucks for connecting a baby provider to the agency. """" I did not know this. Pretty much selling babies, isn't it........supported by Anti-Choicers!!! Thank you for the information on greedy Anti-Choicers
I won't watch the video because right from the start I know tis "Abby" is not the Ruler on what a person is. "Human life" and A human are two different things.... IF the zygote/fetus is A human with rights then it ALSO has the restrictions of any other human. It cannot harm another without their consent so if the woman doesn't consent , out comes the zygote/fetus......
Here is some more info, it shows clearly that CPCs are motivated to encourage adoption. http://www.thenation.com/article/shotgun-adoption/ http://www.lifelineadoption.com/adoptionresources.htm
I wonder why the Anti-Choicers are so wound up about "selling " fetal tissue but have NO hesitation about openly selling live babies........
At most a zygote is only the beginning of a potential human being. At that stage the zygote has no legal rights whatsoever.
FYI the woman in that video has zero credibility! http://rhrealitycheck.org/article/2...that-abortions-are-performed-on-women-who-ar/
about 26 weeks http://www.slate.com/id/2120872/ "a member of President Bush's Council on Bioethics, describes in his book The Ethical Brain, current neurology suggests that a fetus doesn't possess enough neural structure to harbor consciousness until about 26 weeks, when it first seems to react to pain. Before that, the fetal neural structure is about as sophisticated as that of a sea slug and its EEG as flat and unorganized as that of someone brain-dead." .
So you have a x-clinic director with NO medical knowledge talking about MEDICAL procedures and who has been shown to be a liar. Patient records were examined from September 26, the day Johnson claims to have had her conversion experience, PP issued a statement that says there is no record of an ultrasound-guided abortion performed on September 26. The physician on duty said that he did not use an ultrasound that day, nor did Johnson assist on any abortion procedure. “Planned Parenthood can assure you that no abortion patients underwent an ultrasound-guided abortion on September 26,” said a spokesperson. It’s difficult to imagine that Johnson simply got the date wrong; September 12 was the only other day that month that the clinic performed surgical abortions. Could clinic staff and the physician be mistaken? The Texas Department of State Health Services requires abortion providers to fill out a form documenting basic information about each procedure performed at a clinic. This document is known as the Induced Abortion Report Form. The Bryan clinic reported performing fifteen surgical abortions on September 26. Johnson has consistently said that the patient in question was thirteen weeks pregnant, which is plausible, since thirteen weeks is right at the cusp of when physicians will consider using an ultrasound to assist with the procedure. Yet none of the patients listed on the report for that day were thirteen weeks pregnant; in fact, none were beyond ten weeks. It is also understood that Johnson was under a “performance improvement plan.” ie her job was under threat due to her lacking job performance. Other things that call into question her creditability is that she is on record as stating that the clinic had NEVER received any threats, yet she herself had CCTV installed in her house due to threatening letters she had received in 2007 while working at the clinic. Johnson also claimed that while most services at Planned Parenthood were provided by a nonprofit corporation, abortions were done by a for-profit corporation. She seemed to sincerely believe this was true, though all services at Planned Parenthood are, in fact, provided by a pair of separate nonprofit corporations. A fetus is nether poor or rich. No, because they have other options that frees them from the dependent person immediately without the need for deadly force, a pregnant woman has no other recourse. Nope, capturing someone requires motive & intent ie A determination to perform a particular act or to act in a particular manner for a specific reason; an aim or design; a resolution to use a certain means to reach an end - http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/intent . .so unless you can show that every woman intends to get pregnant every time they have sex or is motivated to get pregnant every time they have sex your analogy fails at the first hurdle. Absolutely right, now apply that reasoning to the fetus. ie the fetus has no right to endanger the woman without her consent and neither should the female be intentionally or negligently denied protection from harm. The violinist argument is a very weak one. And a great deal of pain and fear to others.
David Reardon is a quack pseudo-doctor who received his "degree" in Bioethics from Pacific Western University - an unaccredited online entity with no actual facility, faculty, or curriculum. Pacific Western University has since been shut down for being a diploma mill. Pacific Western University (Hawaii) and the affiliated Pacific Western University (Louisiana) were not accredited by any accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education. As such, its degrees and credits might not be acceptable to employers or other institutions, and use of PWU (Hawaii) and PWU (Louisiana) degree titles may be restricted or illegal in some jurisdictions. Even the data pool is insignificantly small, 252 people .. absolutely ridiculous to make the comments based on that small a number. Complete and utter BS
Abby Johnson is a big fat liar. http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_facto...ory_sounds_great_but_appears_to_be_false.html
You seem to think killing off one's progeny is some sort of privilege! Me: What if a caretaker wanted to kill off an inconvenient dependent life? Should they have that right? You: Of course not, why would they? Just more hysteria from you. I guess you are pro-life now. A helpless unborn baby? You really seem unhinged. Horrible?! Sorrow?! Having a baby is not that terrible.
