Don't blame the church when it was your mom who made you go on Sunday.

    Without context, accusations are dismissed.

    ?
Who persecutes you for your thoughts?

Who even knows about them except you??
People get in trouble because they start selling their thoughts to others by using words.

Who brainwashed my Mom into thinking that if her son did not believe some of the things taught at Sunday School that I would burn in hell ?

Who is it that is teaching this doctrine "That if you don't "believe" or if you question certain doctrines that you will be tortured in the afterlife" Not just for a few days but for eternity.

Tell me Dave, what organization other than Islam teaches this doctrine ? Hint ... The word you are looking for has "Christ" in it.

So you blame others for what your mom may have done to you. Tell me when she cuts your head off for not accepting Christianity.

Racism may be deplorable but unavoidable when 73% of the Black community is raising kids on Welfare and the cities have become filled with bastards who represent the criminal element.

Even Black people know the city is dangerous.
And race is the Card here, which people refuse to say tells them about violent crime possibilities.
That is racism at work, but it is god in fact, here, because it communicate the truth.

Well, I only went to the SBC or the Church of Christ when I was in the US.. My church and Sunday school in Arabia wasn't fundamentalist or evangelical.

My mom sent me to Sunday School because the church had brainwashed her into thinking that her son would go to hell if he did not "believe" certain things.

Teaching that if one does not "believe", or that if one questions certain things, that one will be tortured in the afterlife for eternity is a powerful and sophisticated mind control technique.

It is the Church, not just Christianity but also Islam, that pounds this horrible doctrine into the heads of innocent children.

Quite disgusting if you ask me. Telling some poor child that if they do not "believe" or if they "question" certain religious tenets that the most horrible thing the mind can imagine will happen to them has an impact. It gets rooted deep into the unconscious and is terribly difficult to get rid of.

This also forms the basis of further mind control which can end up in extremism.

This is the first step down a path which can lead to the formation of a terrorist.

Mine was Lutheran so pretty dry in general. I did have friends though that went to Pentecostal or other fundamentalist churches.

They had a much different experience and had all kinds of human made up rules on things like drinking, smoking and even dancing in one of the more extreme cases.

Throughout history there have always been abandoned women and fatherless children.. Human nature has not changed just because you have developed a case of uber righteousness.

Of course it is the Churches problem. They are the ones doing the brainwashing.

LOL I have been to Pentecostal Churches on occasion as well. All these folks with hands in air crying out Jesus Jesus and then some person would start rambling some unintelligible mumbo jumbo "speaking in tongues" and someone would interpret.

We were supposed to believe that this babbling was directly from God speaking through this person in the language of God.

A funny thing happened though. There were a number of folks that spoke in tongues. The problem was that two of these folks had asked God for guidance on the same question. Each got an answer but the answers conflicted.

The whole Church was divided over this issue and the District President had to come into settle the issue. The Church was eventually kicked out of the Missouri Synod.

Pentecostal is essentially the Montanism mixed with evangelical beliefs.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montanism

Sound familiar ? It was heresy back then and it still is considered as such to this day.

If you can find a good video of a Voo Doo ceremony it is worth watching. It is exactly the same thing that happens.

Sufi Islam also has a similar thing I believe. Sufism is a relatively cool and moderate branch of Islam.

Democrats said Jindal's comments were a blunder.

'It's no surprise that Bobby Jindal would go abroad and butcher the facts in an effort to divide people; this is exactly what we've come to expect from Jindal here at home,' said Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Rebecca Chalif.

    'Jindal is just embarrassing himself.'

Pity your politicians can't get things right. Our 'unarmed' police do just fine in arresting suspected terrorists wherever they are. Though they do carry arms in such cases. Muslims have been arrested and jailed for running sex rings with young girls. I suggest you look at your own country.

Given that you are the one who, when presented with facts (reality) that you do not like, goes into denial mode and starts building straw men and demonizing the messenger ... you might want to be careful what you label as stupid.

Its kind of like putting marker to forehead.

Well there is a Sufi sect in Islam, but in a broader sense Sufism is just the spiritual dimension in all Islamic sects.

Agreed, but that's why I said that no one deserves violence for their word and their beliefs. I'm a fan a free speech, and I don't believe in the idea that a State has the right to suppress such speech.

This is why I talked about racism being difficult to pin down at times. The people throwing out these statistics are normally pointing out socioeconomic reasons. The moment one of them starts claiming that black people are somehow naturally more prone to crime and violence, such as through genetics, that's when we start getting into racist territory IMO.

There are over 200,000,000 Pentecostals worshipping in Pentecostal Churches and estimated another 200,000,000 worshipping in other denominations who identify themselves as Pentecostals or Charismatic.
