Kind of like what Muslims did on Yom Kippur?

This whole back and forth vengeance is why there is no peace.

Vengeance brings no peace. Just more retaliation.

Because that would be many innocent people dead. Its no better then the Palestinian supporters saying its okay to kill civilian Israelis because they all serve in IDF.

Are you serious? Are Christians training kids to be suicide bombers?

If you want people to take you seriously, you can't engage in sophomoric exercises of moral equivalency.

Yes. The Syrian government shells civilian centres and it is ' a brutal beast which must be overthrown '. The Zionists shell Palestinian civilian centres and it is ' because militants are hiding there '. As long as the Zionist arse-lickers continue to serve up the hypocrisy there will be more than enough Zionism opponents to point it out.

No ive seen them all. Its not brain washing. Its state TV giving messages that most of the population agrees with mostly. Much like every other state in the world. China does its own as does Israel.

The only difference is you dont like the message of enemies and resistance that they teach because you happen ti think that gazans dont have any israeli enemy because israel is in your opinion only defending itself.

Any Hamas is no more a terrorist org than israel is, since it has eschewed its previous bombing actions just like israel has eschewed its own terrorism once in power.

And dont give me any rubbish about what a burden it must be. You care nothing for their troubles and even have the cheek to tell them that theyve brought it on themselves.

stunning point. These guys like Mr Relevant will always defend israeli action against civilians. I will condemn both syrian and israeli actions against civilians.

Please dont spout your lies taken direct from the Israeli government to us here.

Israel already admitted that it started the tit for tat that resulted in the 2008 invasion. You keep forgetting that we here on the side of people look closely at these events and can bring the actual detail of events here. Please do not get into something you are not prepared to continue with.

in the christian tradition on "boxing day" - the day after christmas - people left goods and cash in a box outside the church for those less well off.

    we don't do that anymore.

the focus is on excessive consumption rather than remembering those less fortunate.

I hope you retain the tradition.

Interesting indeed. During Ramadan Hamas hands out food to the poor when in the past they've recruited poor children as suicide bombers.

Fattening them up before sending them to their deaths?

At the rate at which the Zionist invaders murder them it's a wonder that the Palestinians have any children left.

I see. Hamas is trying to speed up the extermination of the Palestinians by blowing up their children. How very Islamofacist of them. And they wonder why the world derides them as terrorists and murderers.

A lot of things have changed over the centuries and Christians moved away from the real message I suppose.

I have been in Christian countries at Christmas time and it's not about religion from what I saw. It's all about parties, drinking, dancing, eating lots, giving presents. Nothing I saw was about God. Here is is all about God. All about charity and sharing and praying and reflecting.
We wont change because Islam is our way of life also.

That's because the christians have tried to superimpose their festival over the pagan festival of Yule, in the UK, and similar 'rejuvenation' celebrations elsewhere. Yule celebrated the old year past and welcomed the new, with appropriate thanks and deferences to pagan gods and the natural spirits. It's natural for people to identify with the harvest and the seasons and the christian ' hijacking ' of the birth and death cycle has made only superficial impact, as you have noted. Christianity, in fact, has been forced upon many peoples and cultures and even sometimes maintained by brutality and fear. The christians found this necessary because the pagan traditions were, and are, so strong. The concept of a christ has been around for just a couple of thousand years and is supernatural in concept. The sun, the moon, the stars, the seasons , the joys of physical love are natural and part of people, muslims too. The christians should have positioned their festival at a different time of year. If the intent was to crush paganism then they have lost that fight and christianity is the poorer for it.

    Well (*)(*)(*)(*).

I guess you know every Christian.

BTW, there is no Christian country. Besides the city/state, Vatican city.

To a devout Catholic, everyday is about God. Everyday is about prayer, acts of mercy and study. Meditation. And reflection? The most popular Catholic devotion is the Rosary which is all about reflection and meditation on the mysteries.

Before you go talking down on a whole group, you should really take the time to hang out with them and get to know them. Dont judge devout people by the way secular and christian-only-by-name folks act.

Probably not. Just sees the way many people in the west act. Especially since our government doesn't enforce Christian values, there are many secular and christian-by-name-only folk around drinking and taking Christ out of the holy day.

Someone from a country who enforces religion and religious values can get confused I suppose.

    {Mod edit: Play nice}

BTW, where is Christianity force onto people and maintained by brutality and fear now-a-days? Are you getting confused with Islam? Sounds like it. Especially in some countries and circle, you will be killed for apostasy.
