One thing I would like to add is that Rush Limbaugh is not a stupid man. He is a hypocrite, a rabble rouser, he is a destructive parasite who thrives on exploiting free speech to the detriment of the country who defends that right.

Rush Limbaugh will say anything that will garner him the attention of the morbidly stupid fanbase he has cultivated. He is no better than a crack dealer... doesnt care about what he destroys or who he hurts. He is a perfect mouthpeice to a political party that is willing to destroy this country in order to gain back power.

If this is the United States with Repugnicans in charge of just congress... I shudder to think of theocratic tyrannical police state it will become if they get control of the Oval Office as well.

 

I think the greater tragedy is that many people appear to accept an idiot's ramblings-on a radio show-as informed political commentary! He is an odious jerk without an ounce of credibility.

 

The LRA have nothing really to do with religeon. The title was used in an attempt to gain support and recruits from within the Congolese and Ugandan people, both of whom tend to be very devout christians.
I reality they are led by war lords who are all about $$$. The same as most are in other countries. They are probably worse than other groups because of there previous success. They turned the entire central african region into a war zone.
The area is now slowly recovering, but the people have been terribly scared. Not just physically but mentally. We recently had a helicopter in the NE of DRC where i am now and it frightened the people so much that they ran into the forest and hid for days thinking it was another attack.
It is a crying shame the way the country has been left. The people are some of the nicest, most polite and cheerful i have ever come across. But years of war and fear has left the people in dire need. Peace is vital if this region which should be very weathly is to recover. If 100 troops can help that, then it is positive

I know leftism. I've lived under leftist governance almost my entire adult life. The experience has taught me that compromise with leftists is impossible. They will not accept coexistence. Consequently, I have been totally radicalized.

I understand why Hamas won't make peace with Israel. That's the way I feel about leftists.

 

Before one can claim that Rush Limbaugh says stupid things, you have to show that this was not just a one-off mistake, and that the rest of his reporting is not solid, factually-based and well-reasoned.

Let us take the case of Abu Ghraib. Perhaps you don't remember that one because it showed the soft underbelly of discipline disasters in the US military? Here is a refresher for those with selective memory filters. And here is what Mr Limbaugh said about it:

"Now, don't you feel like a dopey dittohead for letting a little outbreak of prisoner sadism bug you? These were just boys and girls blowing off steam during a stressful situation. Let's not make an international incident out of it, for crying out loud."

What a ditz!! And the US courts agreed with that conclusion. 17 soldiers and officers were removed from duty and a Brigadier-General was demoted to Colonel. Here's more 'realism' from Ditz Limbaugh:

"I don't understand what we're so worried about."

At the time I had no access to the internet at home, so I was dependent on an internet café. I regularly spotted young Moroccan guys checking the web on Abu Ghraib and looking at pictures of prisoners prone on the ground with some whisp of a female US MP holding onto the leash around his neck.

So you don't understand what we are so worried about, Rush? It shows your utter lack of realism. So you think seeing these pictures makes these young men more inclined to undertake constructive dialogue with the west, or more likely to join Al Queda and others like it? You don't get the worry!!??

Now here's the REALLY scary bit. The Rush Limbaugh Show is aired throughout the U.S. on Premiere Radio Networks and is the highest-rated talk-radio program in the United States according to Wiki. So with this and Fox News, vast numbers of red-neck 'Murkans get their 'truth' about the world? Oy vey!! No wonder they are so pitifully informed.
