    Do you have ANY examples of NON-Christians being allowed to operate a church or "Quran-study" in their homes in this neighborhood?

    thinks they're OPPRESSED when they are prevented from oppressing others and/or from jamming their superstition down other people's throats, preferably at taxpayer expense.

    I see nothing to suggest that this has anything to do with the fact these people are Christian. The reason for the meeting doesn't seem to be the key factor.

    Since we are, as we speak, shooting and bombing a rather sizable amount of Muslims, it feels a little urgent to try to stop the potential shooting and bombing of ALL Muslims, which is what is being objected to.

    SOME would consider doing in 1.5 billion innocent people would reflect poorly on our reputation as the "greatest country on earth".

    Well, let's see. They're being fined because they have people at their homes on a regular basis - even though the neighbers are fine with it, they don't collect money, are not organized as an NPO or any kind of organization whatsoever.
    Groups that would fit in that category?
    Boy scouts, Girls scouts, Mensa, Fraternities, Mary Kay, Toastmasters, oh - and yes there are Muslims all over the country who meet to discuss the Qu'Ran in their homes.

    3 Toastmasters clubs meet at private residences / the clubhouse of private neighborhoods in that area.

    Oh and one other thing. While you have not done so (kudos), I fully expected the whackjobs to come out and just flame a bunch of unrelated insults etc..., as well as make assumptions about me.

    Do you think I would have called this persecution, if it were Muslims who were being fined for an exact same home gathering?

    I'm an atheist. I'm not on the marxist left's crusade against Christianity. They do it because it's connected closely to conservatism, not because of the religion itself.

    Liberals are doing this, not atheists.
