    The NY law does NOT allow that to happen.

    So can you point to one country which allows late term abortions where there is also indiscriminate “baby murder”?

    Does it happen in Canada? Australia? UK? NZ?

    If they abort a baby at 23 weeks and 6 days... yes they are murdering children that are viable out of the womb.

    Yep, and that's all the New York law is for -- allowing late-term abortions in the most extreme cases. As far as I'm concerned, abortion in the free world is, or really ought to be, a settled matter at this point. Early-term widely available, being little different from a contraceptive at that point, and late-term for severe cases where the fetus is not viable and/or the mother's health is at risk. It's all perfectly reasonable.

    Barring a change of heart, I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the politicians who voted for this ghoulish, barbaric law, or the people who support murdering babies and the Doctor's/Nurses who perform abortions on Judgement Day!

    yes, the left supports death with dignity, people should be able to make that choice for themselves when they have terminal illnesses

    it's republican states like AZ that support death panels and want to deny people health care

    abortion should be made a crime the day Republicans pass a law guaranteeing healthcare, college education, food, clothing and housing to all unwanted children who would have been aborted.

    You can't suck and blow at the same time! You want women to be more responsible about their choices PRIOR to getting pregnant, but you oppose comprehensive sex ed in schools or the availability of condoms in schools. And you oppose the free education and care provided by PP that would allow for women to access birth control.

    This law would allow abortion up to the 24 week gestation period. Not for medical necessity, but out of convenience. That is the problem.

    If it's not happening, why not limit it to 16 weeks, instead of providing the ability up to 24 weeks?

    Apologies...when I say 'you', I am directing at the overwhelming number of prolife republicans who oppose abortion, but also all the common sense proactive measures to avoid a situation which could end in abortion.

    Because a fetus is not viable until 24 weeks...and that's the law, abortions after 24 weeks are illegal except in the case of life/health of woman and/or fetus.


    Why would you oppose that?

    Most abortions are done long before that but, And here's a shocker for YOU, woman are not all alike , all their situations are not alike, all their resources are not alike.

    There is NO "problem" with abortions of "convenience" DUH, that's why women get abortions!!!

    It is inconvenient to lose one's job, inconvenient to harm one's body, inconvenient to have a kid one doesn't want or can't afford, it is inconvenient to invest in an education and career and have them and the future life of your children jeopardized, it is inconvenient to go on Welfare, it is INCONDAMNVENIENT to die because some ignorant , self righteous busy body thinks you are no more than a breeding animal.

    What is the percentage at 22 or 21 weeks.

    Why does it take 24 weeks to make a decision to terminate? Why can't it be sooner?

    So what? That doesn't mean they all do and YOUNGER THAN 24 WEEKS REQUIRES ARTIFICIAL AIDS. A fetus is NOT viable until 24 weeks ...that is, able to function without artificial aids,

    developed enough able to function OUTSIDE of the woman.

    Every fetus is pretty much at the same stage of development , some may vary BUT EVERY FETUS CANNOT BE WEIGHED AND MEASURED SO AGE IS THE DETERMINING FACTOR!!!!
