Let me give a guess why this whistleblower does not want to be named. He doesn't want death threats. He does not want his wife followed everywhere she goes . He does not want pubs hiring private investigators to tear into his life 20 years ago, snooping through his garbage, and harassing his neighbors for dirt. or talking to his adult daughters lesbian ex-girlfriend, and blogging about his 21 year old nephew going into rehab, or dredging up his sisters very old conviction for prostitution when she was 17. Or looking over the state survey citations of the nursing facility his Dad is living in, and bringing up the medical bills that went to collection 6 years before and his deceased mothers bankruptcy.

Maybe he's scared of how dirty Donald Trump plays, when he overheard him looking for dirt on someone else. Maybe that has more to do with it that being fired. He's obviously an oversensitive special snowflake type. .

This “leak” is actually illegal. The whistleblower is protected by federal law.

I assume it would be a federal crime to leak the identity of the whistleblower. If so, Harvey should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The only difference is that the dems are allowing the republican in these hearings, when they didn’t allow dems into the Clinton Benghazi hearings, but they are being held out of the public eye LIKE EVERY OTHER GRAND JURY.

The Beneghazi hearings were public, at least everything that didn't deal with classified material. I am not asking for classified material to be leaked...they can have two hearing, like the GOP did with Beneghazi and Russia

You are correct, sir! Their identity is not protected, only their job.

 

I bet you are correct, although i think it would depend on his source. For example, if he is just spreading a name because he thinks that is the whistleblower - no punishment. If he someone got access to the classified and protected filings or got the name from someone who did, then he is probably in violation of the law.
